That was an awful shot not gonna lie, considering KPJ only had 6 points the entire game + was 2-12

He probably got confused with jalen and kpj since they both had braids tonight.

I've seen it enough. Green had KCP on him playing a bit off of him, but he's close enough to the passing lane and Green to where he wasn't getting off a clean shot.....if the pass wasn't stolen.

You don't make a difficult pass to a lesser shooter so that they can try to take a shot over a better defender.

While KPJ didn't have a great game, you can't argue with the results. Clutch 3, and it's clear that KPJ does indeed have a lot of support within the team.

Wood played they way he should play, for the most part--besides some boneheaded possessions and selfish shots. He should probably be on a contending team by the end of the trade deadline. I'd rather have our young guys develop instead of him eating up possessions and imparting bad habits on them.

I'd like to see Gordon somewhere else, too. But for entirely opposite reasons than Wood. He's more than earned my respect from his tenure here in Houston and if we can get him to a PJ Tucker like situation where he can contribute and possibly win a ring right away, that would be awesome.

I'm a kpj doubter, but hey if it wins the team the game; don't care who takes the shot.

Fair enough, I mean Robert Horry took big shots, Kenny Smith, Mad Max, Elie all took big shots.....it is not always going to be the best scorer......

While I agree that KCP is a tougher defender to shoot over than Neto, are you sure that Green is a lesser shooter than Porter? Because I'm pretty certain he's not. You don't have to like the kid but sometimes I think you go too far. He's been displaying plenty of potential over the past few games (and over the entire season).

It was 77-69, then Neto got a bucket and a foul shot (which was good) to make it 77-72. Then KPJ gets fouled and made 1 of 2 FT's to make it 78-72. Right?

Green was 2-7 from 3 in the game, KPJ 2-4. On the season, KPJ has the better 3 point % as well.

Being the most charitable possible, I'll say they are equal.

If the shooting is equal, you go to the guy with the better defensive matchup.

Fixed it for ya. Wood needs to be shown the door. A nice 1st round pick and young pg would do it.

    Good win.
    Helluva shot.

But I don't get all the chest thumping from KPJ fans.

What load of nonsense, "charitable as possible". the difference between Green and KPJ overall 3% is only 0.1 (32.8 to 32.7). Stop acting like the difference between the two is that great.

The second comment does makes sense, the guy with the easier defensive match up should shoot.

Jalen finally realizing that people can't stay in front of him. Even saw him pull out a euro step which was a new move for him. Needs to work on his defense. That goaltend at the end wasn't good.

Good for KPJ getting the winner after last week's fiasco. Still had his standard horribly inefficient game.

On to the next one. Hopefully Alpie is back.

    The shot itself was incredible.
The decision to call his own number out of that set is what was shaky as hell.

I'd have to go back and watch the game again on League Pass - not sure it's up yet, but from looking at the boxscore on Yahoo, before Garrison hit that 3, it was 74-69 (according to the Yahoo boxscore pbp), not 75-69 as the tweet/clip you posted shows.

Looking at NBA.com's "official" pbp, it, too, shows the score was 74-69 before Garrison's shot, and 77-69 after.

Neto hits a layup, gets fouled : 77-71
    Neto hits a foul shot : 77-72
    Porter gets fouled, hits 1 of 2 : 78-72

KPJ was 1-3 from the game before he hit the last shot...and it's not the most charitable possible to say that they're equal when their 3pt % is separated by .01 and Green has been shooting reasonably well from 3 over the last 10 games.

Look man, I'm clearly not going to change your mind but I'm just saying from my perspective, you have your biases. Which is completely fine--for example, I'm biased towards Green, AL-P, and back in the day I was in the Dmo over TJones camp just like you. But you like to present yourself as completely objective, which you are not.

...Not that I mind, since I've never been all that objective anyhow.
