JG / KPj / Tate if it's KPj, then he deserved signing a contract to stay with this team; if it's Tate, he got the potential to be the leader in the locker room; if it's JG, then his hairstyle, soft voice and gentle looks must have deceived all of us. i wish it's JG or Sengun.
I do not think anyone here on clutchfans believes he is a max guy. But he can be a valuable asset if surrounded by winning or mature talent. He is currently just playing with the wrong and rebuilding team. Losing make fans magnify individual players faults when most of the team is playing rookie basketball. He is just in a bad circumstance.
I Don't care who said it. Just that someone put CW in his place. I might be one of the few but I'm actually glad this happened. Wood showed us who and what he is character wise and that's important as there's absolutely no way Stone gives this clown max money now. It was at least debatable before, but this seals the deal. Wood isn't a star or a piece you build around, he doesn't have the mental makeup to be the man. Otherwise, he'd accept the challenges of defending opposing bigs instead of pawning the rotations off on EG, Matthews or Tate. The Theis signing was part of Wood not wanting to defend those opposing big men .... but now it makes parting with that clown possible. Trade deadline can't get here soon enough. Wood has to go. They'll get a solid return too, cause some GM will buy those unicorn stats not realizing they are empty.
What is it that supposedly makes him a unicorn though? The only stats he puts up are typical for a standard bug man, he might try to be a unicorn with "guard skills" by running in transition, but he's pure trash at it and it makes us worse when he does. I thought unicorns were supposed to be special outside of typical big man skills, and Wood isn't remotely that.
Wasn't that PJ Tucker before? Isn't that Draymond in Golden State? I think you need to rethink that statement.
Funny -you say that - I was just playing the what if trade scenarios with Denver earlier today. The way I look at it - Denver is in "win now" mode. The West is weaker than it ever has been and they got potential starters who haven't been able to contribute for a year now. Wonder who they would be willing to give up ....Porter has played 70 games in the last 4 years and is coming off back surgery. I wonder if they make him available
If Silas actually called woods out, new found respect to da coach. And here I thought he was just a yes man to tilman
That'd be a dream scenario but doubtfully. Even with the injuries Porter is just too talented to give up for a knucklehead like Wood has been lately
