Just make him play 48 minutes a game here as PG?? Oh wait, that's his secret dream Pass The Frigging Ball
That's the only reason you know it's not his dream to play point - he'd have to pass haha. Dude wants to do nothing on defense and then play by himself on offense. Is AND1 still a thing? Maybe we could trade him for The Professor?
I guess I don't understand the cap and trade rules like I thought I did. How do the Rockets send out 13.7 million and take back only 8.7 million? I thought it had to be within 120% or a TPE?
I responded to the wrong person, another trade has us sending out Wood and getting Kemba. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y2fgap7r
More of the same because it makes sense for everyone G. Hayward & Bouknight …for… E. Gordon, Wood, & Porter We may need to add a FRP (heavily protected) NOW.
Really good trade, but require one of NYK’s picks this upcoming draft (either their own or Charlotte’s). We can buy out Kemba, pretty easily or use him off the bench instead of Augustine. If KPG can get his sh*t together then we can give Kemba a shot next year if you keep him.
You can always bring back less. The 120% only applies to teams receiving more than they sent out in that year. My guess is that Portland may have a TPE that allows them to bring in one of the three players that they have incoming so that they other two players are within 120% of 2021-2022 salary (cap purposes average salary per year) for Lilliard or the way salaries are averaged by the NBA for the cap causes Portland to meet the 120% for all three even if on the surface it seems they are receiving more than that.
I don't see much on the Jazz except Butler that would interest the Rockets, and I'm not even sure about Butler. I'd like to see Tate shopped, though I think he makes a better throw-in with Gordon and/or Wood to get better picks.
Now that I think about it . Could we get Covington for wood ? Do we want that ? Would Portland want that ? do they hope he plays great and helps them ? Are they trying to tear it down and get something for expiring Covington ? not to long ago Covington was worth 2 firsts . Has he regressed ? I actually think his fit next to sengun could be great . not that we want to tie up space beyond the next year , so , maybe not planning on keeping roco . But , you could still use him as an experiment to see how that type of player would fit next to sengun . right now I think of the core guys I want to keep as Tate , green , sengun , and JC . Kpj still has potential, but I’d also like to see him off the bench . Tate Green JC Roco Sengun that unit can play hard theis is an excellent backup . Then you can try kpj off the bench . let’s start building something here . we can maybe even get a second from Portland in the balance ...
Butler isn't close. He was the 40th pick and is shooting horribly from everywhere. Tate was All Rookie 1st Team last year and is making peanuts, and locked until next year. A mid 20's pick in the 1st round isn't enough IMO, while I think 2 1st rounders would be an overpay from Utah. A third team would have to be brought in.
I would trade Wood next month to the Chicago Bulls: Trade: Wood to Chicago for Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu and Patrick Williams Wood would help their offense as Power Forward and we would get a true Point Guard and a lengthy Small Forward.
