Wouldn't it be easier just to track every 10 games or 20 games. Since the team is a mess and losing. You get a better overview with more games played. He is getting minutes on a very bad, very inconsistent organization right now. Theis is a useless player on a bad team, he might get you 10 points as a 15th man.
Yeah Stone def needs to take the blame for: 1. Jalen Green 2. Jaygup 3. KJ martin 4. Sengun 5. KpJ 6. Garuba 7. Brooks 8. Nix All in year 1 of Post Harden era. How dare Stone fill the team with young guys with potential? He should be getting vets so the Rox can get meaningless regular season wins.
Green had his first bad game after 4 good games, but the spacing was whack so what did we expect? Imagine if Cavs made Mobley play center every game, thats Green with 0 spacing. Kevin Martin Jr continues to impress, if this kid was 2 inches taller he's be the next Rox franchise player. Its crazy he had almost no organized bball experience last year, spent his entire high school and college exp in the AAU circuit. As it is his ceiling is limited due to his height, but maybe he can be played in the sf role if he continues to develop his game. I dunno why DJ Agustin got mins, this wasnt a winnable game it was pretty obvious bu the 3rd Q coach should've put in Nix and Queen so we couldvr gotten a look at those 2 kids.
Jalen Green has great potential but he also has obvious weakness. He can get 7 pts in 2 mins he also can disappear in a quarter. Green needs a real coach to fix his playing weakness. Silas obviously only clap hands court side.
Rox arent playing for anything so coaching doesnt matter as much. Looking at how much Jaygup, Tate, Green, Nwaba and Kj Martin have improved tells me the development team is doing their job which is all that matters at this point.
That issue persists in every young scorer lol. Thats not something dependent on coaching that has to do with youth and inexperience. Even Harden and Kd can disappear for a quarter during a game.
He can certainly beat his man off the dribble. What he needs is to develop a floater or some way to finish when the help defense slides over. He's also almost completely abandoned his mid range game. This past game embiid was just hanging waaay off Theis and was helping on his drives. Then when he passed to Theis he just bricked the shot. As far as Green just being selfish and taking a lot more shots that's not going to happen and it's not what Silas wants. Head coach is not going to concentrate on giving him the ball. Green also had another interview where he talked about being a rookie and not over stepping and trying to be the man too early. Said he needed to earn that over time. I think once Wood and Gordon are gone and Green has some tenure he'll be more selfish and demand the ball and not be as content with sitting in the corner as much. In the long run it's best that he learns how to play on and off ball anyways.
Not really a surprise given that the team was missing their 2 best passers and ball handlers....basically the only people on the team with any kind of skill when it comes to those things. The important thing is that the team picked up the L and got a bit closer to another chance at drafting a franchise caliber player.
Coaching matters more when you have players you need to develop unless you want this thing to take 7 years.
I am more worried about the culture of this friggin team. Might end up with a high pick but the rest of the story is pretty sad.
That too general of a statement. You can see when a coach is trying to get a player the ball. Most of the time the two players that you mentioned have the ball in their hands. Jalen does not, it is not the same. He was camped in the corner he wasnt asked by the coach to walk it up and there were no plays called for him and that is on Silas. Thats not what Silas wants to do, Im not sure why everyone keeps denying what Silas wants to do when he says it in press conferences. You guys did this in summer league with Sengun too. "It s not the coach's fault Sengun isnt getting the ball!" then in the press conference "WE DIDNT GIVE HIM THE BALL BECAUSE THATS NOT THE OFFENSE" LOL. What you see is what Silas wants.
