If KPJ is already apologetic about his outburst then I'm fine with a one game suspension. I'm concerned about his history of emotional outbursts, but I don't think a multi game suspension is necessary depending on his response already. If he's not contrite at all then we have a problem. Wood concerns me even more. He's older and supposed to be more mature, but his body language has been sour for weeks leading up to this incident. I doubt he think he's doing anything wrong, but he certainly doesn't look like the leader he wants to be. Maybe he's just frustrated.
This is totally fair to guys like Tate and Garrison who show up every night and play their ass off. Someone should ask Sengun if this kind of thing happens in the Turkish League, and if guys are catching the midnight express.
I feel bad I bought a Wood jersey last season and bought my son his first jersey on Friday night...a black KPJ #3. Please at least keep KPJ...Im fine with Wood getting gone
I disagree - we weren't there, don't know the breadth of the discussion, how much of the shouting match was KPj - how much Lucas? Etc.....hopefully he and Lucas can work it out and move on. With Wood, yeah, he should be suspended longer, but we are looking to move him - need him to put up numbers...he is a passive aggressive dude, needs to be on a team with strong leadership to fall in line. Our team has zero leadership on the floor or on the bench - and as such you have guys vying for it.......who will be THE MAN? Wood thinks it is him...and it is not. DD
DD, we know that both players literally quit on their team. One left the stadium and the other flat out refused to play. We know that for fact. What more do u need to know? we’ve also seen with our own eyes Wood’s lack of effort and sour grapes before. I know I’ve seen it before. I can maybe accept that part of the price we pay for talking on KPJ is patience, given his history and youth and likely mental health issues, but Wood is a veteran who we are paying $10 mil as a core part of our team. A one game suspension is simply not strong enough. It sends a really bad message about accountability. And if it’s true that other players are pointing it out too, how does going soft on him help this team build a winning team-first culture?
