I think the one game is to see how they react to being suspended at all. See if they are going to pout or act like drama queens the next game. If they show any sign of being disgruntled in the next game, suspend them 3 games...
Both played overseas where there is no room for ****ery. Ill tell you one thing if KPJ pulled that **** in Turkey he would have to switch cities because fanbases are that… lets say… passionate no way you just drive off in the middle of the pro game in Europe lol
I bet money Wood comes back from this weak suspension on some bullsh*t…effort levels gonna fall to 08-09 T-Mac levels
What KPJ did is actually worse than what Wood did. KPJ went off on people, threw **** and left the building.
Normally I would be against any form of snitching but damn if I don't really dislike Wood. I'm ready to make an exception lol Jokes aside I really hope it was Green and/or Sengun that called him out because that's the type of stuff you love to see from your future studs
Agreed. I think this is the appropriate move as it's not an overreaction plus it puts Wood and KPJ on notice internally and publicly.
Wood is our top scorer and rebounder, Porter is our top assist guy. It makes sense to try to fix a blowup rather than just knee jerk into something that will harm the rest of the players, team and org. 1 game seems light, but that is what the org decided. Go Rox! DD
I slightly agree, I think their heads are not in the game, at least we know Wood has been pouting more than giving effort.
“At least one other of the team's young players challenged Wood, telling him that, as a veteran, Wood should be setting a standard, sources said.” Tate
Wood is not even a veteran. He is a guy that has bounced around the league because he couldn't get his attitude in check and be a better player. Still has a lot of maturing to do if he ever gets there. Reminds me of Whiteside as far attitude is concerned.
KPJ should’ve been released and Wood should’ve gotten at minimum 3 games. But like I said earlier if this hadn’t come out I doubt the rockets would’ve done anything at all since they tried to cover it up initially. If they are trying to retain some of Woods trade value then I get it. But KPJ ain’t worth a fart. Missing practices, incidents with teammates and coaches, having to be handled with “kid gloves”…and now this? I hope they don’t regret keeping him around.
Would be kind of surprised that they would be referring to Tate as one of the teams other young players. Tate is 1 month younger than Wood.
