Ridiculous comment….JVG was the right choice and we would have a much better record than the 26-92 record of Silas. Players respect and play hard (and defense) for JVG and he wouldn’t be babying these guys. Wall would start and guys like Porter would have to earn their playing time.

I've got your out coaching.....it was called Campazzo

    1) We had no defender for him in Porter Jr, Christopher, Brooks, Green
    and
    2) if we doubled him.....the open shooters were killing us.
Wood was lazy in this game defensively. Got nutmegged by Facu

Guy did whatever he wanted. Matter of fact, I think this is why Lucas
got after Porter Jr. Reaching and Campazzo burned him.

Silas actually has done a nice job with the young players and their development (although I wonder if that’s actually Lucas as he works hours upon hours one on one with the kids), however he clearly has not got a grip on being a head coach and how to garner the respect of the players. They don’t play hard on defense and typically get outcoached at halftime when key adjustments are made. At best the jury is still out on Silas, but there are very few games where I come away thinking that we won them because we outcoached the other team. With Covid we are playing many depleted teams but for the most part we make too many mental errors (turnovers, missed free throws, missed defensive assignments) to even stay competitive with teams we are capable of beating. That’s on coaching and it better improve or Silas and friends will be out of here for a more experienced and successful coach.

Lastly, our assistant coaches just plain suck. With the exception of John Lucas, they are all smiles and cherry pie in their halftime interviews with Calaigh Griffrin. Hornacek, Weaver, and Diop have no intensity or insight other than to usually compliment how well the other team is playing. They suck and the team plays with a similar lack of intensity. Lucas appears to be the only one with a fighter’s mentality.

Only legends remember how he was blackballed from the league by being too powerful and intimidating Kobe.

They called Moochie a Rockets legend at the Heat game. Why not people that weren't on the roster too?

It's only ridiculous if you are trying to win it all with minimal talent. JVG would have wanted all our young players and picks traded for veterans. Idk why it's not obvious that's not the route we are going. JVG is a excellent HOF coach just not for us right now. He's several generations separated from these kids. Not relatable at at all. Silas was the better choice for our circumstances. That's not saying Silas is the better coach just the one better for us right now. JvG was suppose to come 2 or 3 seasons ago when we had Harden. It's too late now. We are not great but we are not as bad as our record indicates. This next piece we draft could really change our fortunes in a couple of seasons on top of our already young core building and getting better. Stone absolutely made the right choice.

Not only that. There is a reason JVG hasn't been a HC in a while. Partly because he doesn't want to but the situation has to be right. When has JVG ever coached a young team? JVG probably would have quit halfway through the season. You thought he had bags under his eyes before just wait until he was coaching these guys on the sidelines. Lol Dude bags would be dragging across the court as much as these youngins have Shaqin' A Fool moments. Could you imagine Green being benched for going for a dunk trying to hype the team like against Detroit? No you can't you only see what you think is better but it's not. We are in the optimal situation.

Just because a coach is tougher doesnt mean they wouldnt know how to handle KPJ. First its the Rockets fault for putting KPJ in this position but its also on the coaching staff to recognize and relay back to the FO that maybe they should take things a little slower with him.

THey both quit true but Silas isnt a good coach either. We should get rid of Wood and SIlas and bring KPJ off the bench for awhile.

more like KPJr wouldn’t know to handle the coach

How much slower do things have to be? Lucas already has to gauge this dude’s mood every day before trying to coach him. Everybody walking on eggshells for this 3rd year scrub

if campazzo played for silas you wouldnt be able to recognize him...or he would mysteriosly be benched for some selfish ballhog or given low minutes...or danule house would handle the ball alongside him...
stop defending that quitting, W-streak breaking, L- record breaking historic loser
