Yup but they're not going to trade him for Wood. A Vucevic/Wood front court is a layup drill for opposing teams.
I think you are correct if Chicago wasnt in kind of a bind. For the first time in years the Bulls are relevant. Their best players are either over 30 (Derozan and Vucevic), free agents after this season(Lavine), or only signed there because of the aforementioned players (Ball). They need to be about all in as all in can be this season. Size is what they lack and the best bigs on the market are Wood or guys who play for division rivals (Sabonis/Turner in Indy and Grant in Detroit). Either Chicago elects to keep their powder dry and hopes they can bring Lavine back and Deronzan/Vucevic dont succumb to father time or they have to pay through the nose to score a big from teams that still remember Jordan kicking their ass for a decade. I'm not saying it will happen but I dont think it's easily dismissed.
Raps - Vuce. Coby White. Tate. Bulls - Siakam. Wood. Rockets - PatWill. Top 5 protected FRP 2023 from Raps. Unprotected FRP 2024 from Bulls. Probably the worst timing for this because the Bulls have just gone to the top of the east. Siakam brings that defense missing with PatWill (and is currently a much better overall player), Wood fits that in and out 5, who IMO can be a better rim protector than he has been. Raps make a move that help them live up to what they should be coming into this year. OGs injury really seems to have hurt them, but with the logjam at that 4 spot, letting go of Siakam may not be so bad. They also get a couple REALLY good roleplayers that could help propel them back into the playoffs and hopefully, make some noise there. I LOVE the idea of Patrick Williams on the Rockets, at either forward spot. Team him with Paolo or Jabari and wow.
toronto hangs up the phone immediately on this deal. those players don't do anything for a young team who is trying to rebuild.
Fair. I honestly think there may be a bit of a block with me thinking the Raps are rebuilding. Just dont think of them as a rebuilding team especially with all the pieces they have. They SHOULD be in the playoffs.
Raptors Receive: - Simmons Lakers Receive: - Wall Knicks Receive: -Westbrook 76ers Receive: - Siakam / 2 2nd Rd Picks from Rockets Rockets Receive: - All of New York's FRP's for the next 3 years.
Wood for Bagley + 2022 FRP pick swap top 10 protected (we get best of SAC/MIA/BKN) + 2024 FRP top 12 protected.
they would just trade Williams for ketamine grant and Detroit would run with that offer. We missed our shot at getting value for wood.
We need to get Cam Reddish, and if somehow we can get Sharife Cooper or Jalen Johnson that be a plus. I feel like EG could help the hawks.
You think the knicks will trade picks for westbrook, and houston will get picks for giving up wall? Nobody is trading picks for russ, he's worth negative picks

Not especially... CHA makes most sense as a destination for Wood. I think Kai could potentially be a new Wood (down the road)
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y2fgap7r Use wood to help facilitate Lillard to NYK . send him to a rebuilding situation in Portland. We can pick up kemba and a second from nyk and Portland. right now I want to send wood to the worst situation possible . Any ideas?
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yxby5cds They'd never do it, but that's a worse situation than here I think haha.
yeah i thought about the magic and pistons but i couldnt think of a trade the other team would actually do lmao edit. plus , if you send him to another team that recently had top picks and will get another this year then they might turn things around . granted... orl is pretty bad. not many worse situations than th rockets unfortunately
Yeah I just found something that'd work with the money haha, I doubt many teams are jumping at the chance to pick him up with what just happened. Wonder if Detroit would swap him for Olynyk? That'd be a dream come true haha.
