just casually slips Westbrook in there.

Cmon, BRO! Westbrook has averaged over 10 assists 5 times in his career, that is the DEFINITION of a pass first PG!

Wall is far from a pass first PG and you know that.

These dudes have called Green's maturity, skill, and even commitment to basketball into question when by all accounts he's level headed , conscientious and coachable. Then turn around and downplay if not dismiss this ****

MDA & Kerr are already established head coaches. Silas is young in his 2nd year, which is probably why he's not as vocal. John Lucas is a veteran assistant with experience as a player. Doesn't surprise me

KPJ is to Antonio Brown like Christian Wood is to Tony Romo

cut one - trade the other and let’s develop the young guys in a better environment

At least this will take some media attention off of KPJ

Players like KPJ usually end up out of the league and with money/drug problems. They gave him a chance. He blew it. Million dollar organizations aren't wasting years of real players to take flyers on losers that they hope might figure it out. For every Harden, Tucker, Ariza, and Capela we've also endured Royce White, Stromile Swift, and Ty Lawson.

    It happens.

Scoot knows he messed up thus the quick apology. It’s ok to be mad at him, dislike his game all that. He’s a 21 year old kid with a heartbreaking childhood trying to make good while dealing with baggage most people don’t carry from a young age.

He should be shown where he was wrong and what is expected. Apply the appropriate corrective action and establish the boundaries. For some that should come easy and built into common sense, but it isn’t the case for all - especially kids like KPJ.

Been pulling hard for him. It’s been a tough transition and IMO pulling the plug now would be too early, but if it happens so be it. I’ll keep an eye on him in a weird fatherly way and hope he can conquer his demons. His story resonates with me and I think he has the talent to be a great player in the league. There shouldn’t be a rush for THIS team, but I can understand why a good portion want him gone … basketball reasons or otherwise. I think it was an emotional response in the moment and he acted like a brat.

Wood pulling a Pippen is a little more nauseating for me while he sat on the bench with his sht eating grin joking it up. He could have tried to help being the self proclaimed “star” of the team, but he nutted up. Scoot just let his emotions get the best of him while Wood let his bros get flanked by the enemy and chose not to help. I’ve been on his side too - hard to really support this type of behavior.

Silas seems to be losing control.

Honestly. Like if kpj threw a tantrum for other reasons aside from trying to play to win I would b more pissed.

If we had to choose only one person to get rid of i would rather it b wood than kpj.

That player does not care about winning or playing for the team and it shows

Yeah he then proceeds to skip more than he showed up. All the while Green is showing up every time and improving, and we can see his progress.

Scooter was at least trying to play and make a difference. Wood did not put in any effort and was basically just spiting Silas by throwing the game. Scoot fked up and let his emotions get the better of him. There is a good lesson there for him - albeit the leash getting shorter as well.

Wood just said “nah I’m good” and watched his team get dismantled. That’s crazy to me.

Is shoot around so sacred that you have to discipline your best player before the game? Seems like a domino effect popped off last night. I think Silas mismanaged the situation.

The org in general seems ill equipped to handle a player like kpj. All that talk about culture change bs and they let wood act like that.

    Hmmm, let's see:

    Chris Paul AST% Career = 45.2, APG = 9.4, PPG = 18.3, USG = 23.8.
    John Wall AST% Career = 42, APG = 9.1, PPG = 19.1, USG = 27.7.

Doesn't look too dissimilar, guess Paul isn't either.

Some more information for you, as you evidently never followed his career:

    https://www.si.com/nba/2017/02/14/john-wall-supernatural-passing-washington-wizards
    https://bleacherreport.com/articles...climbed-up-the-point-guard-ladder-this-season
    https://wizofawes.com/2017/10/05/nba-gm-survey-ranks-john-wall-best-point-guard-east/

But sure, you know more than actual NBA GM's, I'm sure.

Edit to add some quotes from the articles, as I'm sure people won't read them.

"Somehow, a glance is enough to capture all of that information and anticipate every change. Wall has always been a supernatural passer. This season, however, Washington’s guiding star has redeemed his extraordinary vision to tap even further into the unexpected."

"Just because Boston got Irving, doesn’t change the fact that the best point guard in the East, resides in Washington. Wall averaged 23.1 points, 2.0 steals, and 10.7 assists per game last season. Irving averaged 25.2 points, 1.2 steals, and 5.8 assists per game.

As a pass-first point guard, Wall makes his teammates around him better. According to the Survey, he’s also a better passer than Irving."

"The Survey ranked Wall third, tied with James Harden and Ricky Rubio. Wizards fans may disagree, because Wall throws magic-like passes. There was one instance last season, where he passed the ball in between a defender’s legs, while in transition.

Wall’s stat line already proves that he’s a better playmaker than Irving. Wall’s strength lies in making the players around him better. His assist numbers shows that he is pass-first point guard, and that he shares the ball."

"He makes their team go," Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving said of Wall, per ESPN.com's Dave McMenamin. "He's such a great point guard in our league and he just makes everybody better out there. And that's what separates him from all the guards."

Well, that's part of the separation. Even if Wall hadn't developed his gifts, he'd still stand out for his 6'4" frame and Olympic-sprinter speed. His physical gifts are almost unrivaled in this larger-than-life league, essentially giving him a head start in a race others aren't even running yet.

But that head start would have been squandered had Wall not augmented those natural tools with a cerebral approach that is quickly polishing his production.

He isn't a freak athlete trying to play basketball, he's a natural point guard with freakish athleticism. While he's capable of playing the game at a faster pace than most, it's his ability to see things develop several steps ahead that really makes him a special player.

"John Wall is fast-becoming one of the NBA's smartest assist men," Zach Lowe said in a Grantland video. "Wall is a hoops intellectual. He's operating one step ahead of defenses. He knows how they'll respond to every dribble and manipulates them to create the best possible shot for teammates."

"Wall plays the game like a giant chess match. Each move is part of a bigger series. As soon as the defense thinks it has him figured out, he'll combine his vision and creativity to cement the fact that no one knows exactly what's coming next.

It's absurd the kind of things he can do as a passer, though he naturally doesn't see it as such.

"It's just instincts," Wall said of his highlight deliveries, per Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post. "I don’t think about it."

That's where this conversation starts to get scary. The supercharged athlete is simplifying the game for himself, letting things come naturally and using his complete repertoire to elevate himself and his team.

"He’s the complete package as a point guard: he’s big, physical, fast, team-oriented, humble, and a pass-first professional with X-ray vision," wrote TruthAboutIt.net's John Converse Townsend."

But sure "wAlL hAs NeVEr BeEN a PaSs FiRst PoInT GuARD..." keep bleating your nonsense.

Incompetent coaching plus having teammates who are throwing tantrums and refusing to put forth any effort, both sabotaging the team. One on purpose, one out of incompetence. That's ust the hardest **** in the world for an overly emotional, immature player to deal with.

Look at the score when the pulled him. They then kept him out till they allowed Wood to throw the entire game away....that makes it pretty hard to tolerate harsh criticism coming your way.

No offense, but I'll listen to the actual people involved over some random on a forum who doesn't know the men personally.

This. I don't think it's probably fair to put KPJ and Wood in the same category. I say give KPJ another chance, and as many as he needs as long as he keeps showing improvement. If KPJ goes 2 years now without throwing anything then I would call that improvement.

    Wood can go tho.

Such staunch defense for a mediocre player, unstable individual...

You'd think he's Ja Morant(22) or Luka Doncic(22) or Trae Young(23) or Darius Garland(22) or LaMelo Ball(20) or Anthony Edwards(20) or Tyrese Maxey(21) or Jordan Poole(22) or Tyrese Haliburton(21) or Cole Anthony(21) or Jalen Green(19) … or y’know, a good, young player.

Now we out here celebrating Westbrook level stats @Reeko

“Potential, that's another word for ain't did ****…”

Yeah we can laugh now, we can laugh behind the screen, “Haha, JR Smith threw a hot bowl of soup! Haha Kev threw food at Koby Altman! Haha Kev threw an object at Lucas! Those fools cray-cray haha!”

What if that object hit or hurt Lucas (or an assistant or hell, anyone in his vicinity)? What if he decided to swing on Lucas (or an assistant)? Oh, now you’d want to cut him? But because the object didn’t hit anyone or he didn’t cause bodily harm, “it’s fine”. Just suspend him a game, he’s just a kid who wants to win super duper bad!
