Maybe they aren't hoping for magic and instead are hoping that's he's getting the help he needs and growing as a person/professional. If he legit has mental health/anger issues they probably went into this knowing stuff like this might happen. But if they can see that he is continuing to seek help and making an effort to get better they might not be ready to just give up on him.

This team don't need so many undrafted players or 2nd round players.
We have 4 1st round rookies this season and will get top 1st round pick next season.
If Wood refused to play and KPJ left arena middle game, just get rid of them.
Develop our talented rookies who are willing to play for this team!

KPJ must be kept regardless, the Rockets really need to grind him until he humbles himself. Hopefully in a couple of years he will be a solid Small Forward instead of a Point Guard.

There is more tension handling Point Guard duties for KPJ.

KPJ Two strengths are creating, attacking and defense. IQ in Passing and running the team only creates tension for him.

The Rockets must Start Experimenting Josh C at Point Guard more. Josh is more Vocal and Connect with everyone on the team.

This is what I think too.. There are only so many spots available for the children anyway. Even if Wood and KPJ turn out to be max players somewhere else, the Rockets are so far from competing now it won't even matter by the time the Rockets are ready.

It does not matter, they will keep him for the year for sure.

Even for the Covid protocols, you have to carry extra bodies.

Just knock him down the pecking order because he ain't the future, now we know for sure.

These takes from dude on Lucas are putrid and borderline offensive ... Did he really crush your 80s Rockets championship dreams that bad? Was he your personal favorite player? Did he remind you of a coach on your coaching staff that stole the money and left yall stranded somewhere? Wtf bruh?

Jalen Green, Josh Christopher and Alperen Sengun, Usman Garuba are next man up.

Hopefully when Wood is traded more Usman Garuba minutes off the bench will be important for him.

KPJ has to be a Small Forward, he can flourish at that position more.

This isn’t the first problem with him on the Rockets… they have covered up his other transgressions and kept the punishment internal. Some of the players and coaches want him gone.

This is the common sense take for sure. Also, I would bet everything I own that neither KPJ or wood turn out to be max players.

KPJ is gone, breh, hate to break it to you.

It is just not right now.

The Rockets have to scramble to not tarnish reputation.

folks need to calm down, we let House stay on our team for god knows how long after that bubble playoff fiasco. I bet if kpj returns remorseful about it, the org will keep him with us.

KPJ really does not know how to be nice and give real respect to people. Instead of cussing on the bench.

I honestly don't know what else John Lucas can do.

    Yes and No.

The team was somewhat competitive back then.

They are not now. Losing will open up a box.

They will keep him because the roster needs bodies right now, not because he is such a sweetheart.

    He is on borrowed time.

There was an article about him months ago that the Rockets were pressing him to become a PG in the next 2 years.

He was still on borrowed time.

I think wood has to go. I would be ok with him never playing for is again.
Porter, we know what we have with him and he is still young. I would give him one more chance.

Hopefully Wood is traded to Golden State and Draymond Green will scream so hard in Wood ear that Wood will have nothing to say.

Wood sure wants to cuss at our players and coaches until he meets Draymond.

KPJ must be a Small Forward, don't give him Assignments in running the team.

Give Josh C, DJ the Point Guard duties.

Wood and Porter act like they are superstars, or they are franchise players. Lmao.

The reality is we even can't trade them for some useful pieces.
