Oh hell no, I just saw the one where he ignored Green for the oop. This cat just an undercover Melo, all about me.

A good team can maybe have one moron but not two. The problem is the Rockets start two of them.

I think KPJ is the most talented player on the Rockets, the guy with the highest upside, but also one of the greatest bust risks.

I agree that his biggest problem is lack of emotional steadiness. Gets overexcited, losses focus, presses a lot. A bit of a Westbrook vibe.

I feel that he cares a lot and wants to do well, to a point where it is counterproductive. He just needs to chill a bit and steady his game.

Most people are morons when they are 19 or 21 for that matter. Pretty harsh in my opinion. KPJ looks like a future star to me, but he still has work to do. I see none of the mental issues DD is eluding to. He has responded to all criticism by working hard to improve on his weaknesses. He is now one of the best defensive players on the team. His turnovers are going down and efficiency going up. He had a great game against the Lakers and then a crummy one last night. It takes a while to get consistent. I guess some folks are just negative by nature.

That is fair, and as I said he has shown major improvement, the technical he got last night was an example of what I was talking about.

He looks a lot like D'Angelo Russell but a worse shooter and scorer.

Does anyone know why he was only drafted as the 30th overall pick if he was so talented, has to do something with being a tweener and not getting along with either position.

    Also lower average IQ.

Can't really be a bust as the 30th pick can he?

Wrong, he was pissed that he missed the other dunk and went in to make a point, this is EXACTLY what I mean by letting go of bad plays and just taking the right one every time.

I believe he got kicked off the team at USC his freshman year or some such.

I wish I could find the clip, but he did miss JG on an alley oop, but that wasn’t even the play I was referring to. It was a 2 on 1 break and he kept it for himself, very similar to the play with Josh and just like he missed the dunk previously, he missed the layup. Both times, I felt like he should’ve passed it. Live and learn…hopefully.

I’m going to the game tonight. Hoping to see a solid bounce back performance.

Only thing i’ve seen him improve in is his defensive intensity. Fundamentals. Getting low. Running thru screens. Putting hands up. Beating man laterally. This is the only improvement i think he’s made as far as i can see. It concerns me since the summer workout videos online shows him practicing difficult dribbling and footwork reminiscent of harden. I think he is doing too much with these and needs to stick with fundamentals. Shooting 3’s. Post up. Dribble drive. Don’t need all that fancy handling side step Double step back nonsense. Pick one or two moves for your jumpshot/three and focus the rest on fundamentals!

Yes this happened right after he missed the dunk, so clearly he was trying to make up for it, this is an example of not moving on fast enough.....and being mentally weak.

You can see alot of stars see the potential in him. I do agree with DD that it is all mental at this point.

Rockets need to take the kid gloves off at some point (afraid he’s gonna have an episode? Lash out? Throw a hot bowl of soup at someone?) and CF needs to tone it down. He’s not a superstar (or future one), he’s not a cornerstone, he’s not a building block…he can be a role player. Maybe that’s moving off the ball, maybe that’s coming off the bench. Hell, maybe that’s even moving on from him.

Like Christian Wood, Rockets will have a decision to make after next season. (RFA)

These are the bums some of you want to build around? Get them outta here.
This is Jalen’s team (and the next top 5 pick)

Yes, this is Green’s team and he is starting to really “get it”. The only thing preventing him from averaging 20 points a game is Silas and his bad teammates. He is the face of the organization.

Kevin Porter should be let go. Christian Wood needs to be traded for more assets. Eric Gordon can go play with some wannabe contender and Tate can go too if he can fetch a #1.

Let Sengun and Green and Christopher play heavy minutes the rest of the season.

Bad enough they kept House around as long as they did… a lot of bad apples on this team (House/Porter/Wood).

He was kicked off his high school team…. Kicked off his college team…. Kicked off an NBA team…. There is a pattern and people expecting him to suddenly be a different person are not being realistic. The NBA is a man’s game… there is little time to be immature before you are playing in some third world country or working at Burger King.

This is true, but kids and 21 year olds do stupid stuff......what the hope is that he matures....hopefully the Rockets have assigned him a life coach to get him beyond these stupid moments.

If not, he will be out of the league - ala Terrance Williams.
