Yeah, let me know when JG starts banging in the post how that number will look. The per 36 stats will matter is when he is allowed to play 36 minutes per game. Right now, in a team bottom 3 in the league and full of young players with no aspirations but to be Tankathon champs, Sengun should be allowed to play more minutes, closer to his Turkish league average. As it is, he averages 3 fouls per game, it should be closer to 5 before his minutes are limited.
In all fairness to Silas….don’t think he is the one making the personnel decisions during games. Lineups and in game changes are likely done by John Lucas.
next year when senguns will have some struggles we will believe in him and trust in the future hell become better..... but if he gets more PT right now this wont even happen... god forbid imagine he gets injured next year, what happens then? he stagnates A LOT...it would mean he almost took 2 years pause from playing full games... why not give him full playing time right now? why play around and **** up his development....and you even mess up the entire team because sengun is the glue guy, best passer, a playmaker, a leader... more PT means better rhythm and less foul trouble because less adjustments you need....starting also makes game easier in contrast being thrown in near the end of quarters....
That's certainly a possibility but until proven otherwise only one other person to blame, and that's Silas.
Starting Nwaba at PF must mean we are once again in full tank mode. I actually love Nwaba’s game (except for his 3 point shooting) and am happy he is starting…..but NOT AT POWER FORWARD!!! If we’re not tanking (and only ownership knows this) then this is 100% proof that our coaching staff needs to move on.
Should be closer to 6 before his minutes are limited. Fouling out doesn't mean you can't play the next game. If he fouls out so what? Fouling out should never be an argument when discussing his playing time.
Can you imagine how much money Nwaba would be able to command if he learns to shoot the 3? Just saying.
I like adding fuel to the anti-Silas group which have their hair on fire As if, they were expecting Wooden when we brought in Silas. We knew he was a rookie coach when we hired him. We get what we paid for....duh (to those haters) Anyone who thought differently is a moron
I have stuck up for Silas a lot, but his reads on rotations and momentum are really bad. They cost us today
Yeah I gave him a fair chance for the longest but the truth is he’s just not a good head coach. Nice guy, but not a good head coach.
i don't care if he is a nice guy or not. I think sometimes people look for a posititive before unleashing negative on a guy or his ability to coach. Yes we have a young roster........but play the younger players more than 30 minutes, get them battled hardened for future seasons and a consistent rotation
