The semis would have been better if it was Alabama vs Georgia and Cincy vs Michigan -- wasted opportunity imo.

Bowl games are the ultimate participation trophy. Just gives everyone a fake playoff game. Thats why players dont care

It will never happen in the athlete era, but if schools rescinded scholarships, IMO opt outs would decrease.

I agree outside of the CFP, bowl games are glorified scrimmages.

I would be shocked if he wasn’t loss of value insured.

I feel like this game is going to be ugly with QB2.

Any idea what the insurance is like, for potential 1st round NFL prospects?

Ridder played himself out of the first round while Corral injury'd out. Bet Pickett is really smiling, right now.

Teams really don't seem to worry about injuries these days if they aren't catastrophic. Or in some cases, even if they are. Sam Bradford had a 2nd shoulder injury coming back for his senior season and everyone was saying the same about the huge mistake he made and he still went #1. Tua had the hip problem and was going to miss part of his first year and still went #5.

Well maybe in your eyes it is but in mine, it is wanting to see a championship to a program that hasn't had one in 41 years. You could make the case that Georgia would have won one maybe two and definitely three (counting this season) if it hadn't been for Saban and Alabama. But even if I wasn't a Georgia fan, it is pretty boring to the non-Alabama fans out there to see them win over and over again. I guess you are an exception to the rule.

Yep, I love to see greatness, I guess that would make me the exception to the rule.

BTW, I'm not a Bama fan.

39 scholarship players available was the last number I heard, and had to play a 5th year WR at QB who hadn't played QB since HS

But hey, at least we played the game. Looking at you b****-ass jimbo fisher.

I knew watching warmups that LSU was screwed when it came to their "QB". He simply can't throw the deep ball with any accuracy whatsoever. The other kid that was out there throwing is who I assumed was the starter because his deep throws were pretty much on the money the whole time.....so when I saw it was the other way around I told my friends that if he threw anything deep it would be an interception, and his first 2 attempts at a deep pass were in fact picked.

I get that you have to do what you have to do when you don't have any of the players you really want to play available, but it seems like the other kid, who apparently was redshirt freshman Garrett Nussmeier, would have given them a MUCH better chance of winning. It seems retaining the redshirt status was more important.

Well if pay them like you paid Texans FAs, Alabama will stay in great shape. :D
