Did you watch the game? Even Green is wide open, KPJ/Gordon/Wood won’t look his side.

Our players are playing so selfish.

I mean here he had the same TS% in his second year despite being in a different role right?

Young players tend to be inefficient and then their efficiency goes up up in like their true third year. I just think writing him off now because he doesnt look like Luka is a mistake.

Tonight was a bad KPJ game but he's improving overall. He still hasn't met the benchmark required for a PG, but he's trending towards it. He had a good game against the Lakers even though they lost, just needs to keep improving. But if he hasn't made it by end of the season we probably should decline his team option next year and look elsewhere for a PG. If we haven't traded John Wall by then maybe he could start next year.

KPJ is not a point guard and Ive been saying for months Wood should be traded to Orlando for one of their 50 young point guards lol or a pick. KPJ is a 3. Its like trying to make Ariza the go to guy for the Rockets its just not going to work long term unless Green suddenly becomes James Harden in a couple of years or we start Sengun and play through him.

It’s a big joke that we treat our 2nd pick player like 2nd round players.

When the last time Rockets get the top 2 pick player? But we treat him like trash player. Smh.

it was propped up by his fake 50 point game against Milwaukee

his 1st 22 games with us last year he had a measly 51% TS and was shooting 41% from the field and 29% from 3

that 23rd game against Milwaukee raised his TS almost 3% and his splits went from 41/29 to 43/32

he was still absolutely atrocious outside of that fluke game, and it’s continued this season

nobody here is writing him off because he doesn’t look like Luka, c’mon man…he looks like washed Westbrook with those percentages and level of inefficiency

he has had 2 offseasons to work on his game, get stronger, improve his shooting, etc and is currently sporting 47% TS

Yurt7 got 7th consecutive 12+ rebounds, mainly coming from the bench. First rookie since Kevin Love.

Rockets need a rebounding 7 footer in 2022 draft, similar to Yurt7, better offence if possible.

Excuses excuses, don't reach. He got in foul trouble because he is too young and stupid on defense yet.....same for KPJ both got tricked into dumb fouls tonight.

You guys can't handle any Green criticism - he had a good game on offense on defense he was still not good - he got in foul trouble when his offense is needed on the floor, and yes some where Refs questionable calls but others are him just getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar or jumping too early etc....needs to learn to let things go at times..to stay on the floor.

I am happy, and see major progress from Green, but I am not satisfied, you guys need to raise your standards if you want to see him be all he can be.

To me, I think KPJ struggles against high pressure - he plays better when teams play looser defense.....he still has a ways to go.

And he needs to stop bending and contorting AWAY from contact on his drives and play through and FOR contact - to where he gets to the FT line.

He tries so hard to avoid that contact and it screws his shots at the rim.

he’s definitely improved his body language and severe turnover issues, I’ll give him that

his shooting and inefficiency is just such a huge flaw that is basically a non-starter for me as a PG

way below average shooter…3 pointer is trash, and he’s shooting 63% from the line…1st 2 years he was at 72 and 73% from the line which is pretty bad for a PG, so his shooting does not look promising

he doesn’t get to the line

giving u just 6 apg while being 1 of the league leaders in turnover rate

all that for a starting PG, I just can’t

Yea? At that point he's still had as many games as a rookie a player? Lots of players with that level of experience have those short comings, never mind the fact that he's being put into this new role as a point guard.

Lots of rookies are like that. And he only played for 20 games as well.

This year he's getting even more experience. He doesnt have to make that leap until next year.

Really? Cause it looks like people already want him traded or off the team. I just think he needs more time to get it together. Some players need that.

I can show you Jason kidds shooting splits his first years in the league and they were not pretty. Not to say KPJ will be him one day but its just fair to give these guys time.

Peter, here is what happens, whenever a young team gets challenged or gets behind they lose their confidence in the system or playing as a TEAM, they start trying to do it all by themselves - and it gets worse.

That is what happened tonight, we stopped playing as a team started jacking up stupid 3s and we were soon down 25.....

The key to WINNING is to have a plan, stick to it, and stay the course....unfortunately that takes years to develop.

    We are too young.

And we don't need a PG, we need BIGS......versatile bigs ......we are too short.

as many games as a rookie who was able to get experience in the league and then work on their game and their body in the offseason, something actual rookies don’t get…comparing him to rookies seems disingenous

nobody wants to trade him or get rid of him because he isn’t looking like Luka

Jason Kidd was basically CP3 minus the shooting, so his lack of shooting wasn’t nearly as disastrous as KPJr, not to mention it’s a completely different NBA as well where shooting is more important than ever, especially from your PG or primary ballhandler, but when it comes to KPJr, it’s basically no big deal for some reason

Everyone is welcomed to criticize Green, he is a rookie with flaws after all.

What's annoying is when you throw out non-sensical comments, and then pretend the pushback is because people can't take Green criticisms.

You are blatantly wrong on the foul issues, I have already made it clear that 2 of his 4 fouls were offensive fouls, yet you are still trying to weasel an argument out of it by saying his foul issues indicated poor defense. You could have said "Green needs to be more disciplined on offense to avoid offensive fouls and getting into foul trouble" and that would have been fine. Instead, you decide to die on this weird hill that has no basis on facts at all.

Are you trying to troll at the moment? 2 defensive fouls is indication of poor defense?
