We just need to give Sengun 25 minutes a game and he will learn and get better. I think he needs to work on his outside shot and going against tall, long athletic players. Sengun kinda lost his confidence when his shot kept getting last week. He will be fine he just need more minutes.

You don't reward bone headed plays. He's getting 20 minutes a game to develop and he's playing behind our best player. Do you want to give Wood less minutes?

Sengun needs to earn his minutes more. He's had great moments, he's also had terrible games too (and I say this as a Sengun fan, he's the only current Rocket whose jersey I own.) You don't reward bad play, and his fouling (refs bad calls aside) is bad play whether you like it or not. Good development of players is not just about playing them lots of minutes regardless of how they perform, and unfortunately for Sengun, he's not the top pick that we have so he isn't going to get the same slack as Green is, you're just going to have to learn to live with that I'm afraid. Look, I get that it's frustrating when you're only watching a team because it's the one your favourite player is on and they're not getting as much play as you'd like. You REALLY have to recognise that it's about the ROCKETS, not just about Sengun.

If my ankle hurts like crazy and I can’t put any weight on it, and the doctor told me it’s just a mild sprain, you can bet I’m gonna question the doctor and go somewhere else for a second opinion. There are good doctors, as well as bad ones. Same as coaches you know.

Which Sengun jersey did you get? I’m debating to get the city edition or the regular red one.

Really good interview with Sengun's translator on draft night Deniz Aksoy from Apollo Hou. She says Sengun needs more minutes!

lol everyone and their mother know sengun needs more minutes

its kinda insulting and degrading to sengun even to clamor for more minutes.... of course you give the MVP more minutes....lololol
when you ask for more minutes its kinda always the case you ask for someone that perhaps dont deserve them or is a 100% unknown....

what a freaking morons...how we even got into situation to beg for more minutes for such a diamond and all that in a tanking year where we kinda beating all time losing records?????...

and if his coach were greg popovich or steve kerr it would be ok to perhaps say, coach knows the best , or something, but rockets allowed the absolute scrub among all the coaching scrubs to bench this budding superstar and hold him back???!

what kind of coach watches this maestro play and think to himself oh i need to limit this guy to 15 minutes...or oh ill play just 6 minutes this guy tonight....lololol

    pfhahahahahahahahhaha

it gotta be a racism thing or something weird like that...hes perhaps crazy or demented or staff like that....mind boggling stuff

It seems that Rockets need a real PG, John Wall is untradeable and the team will be built around Jalen Green.

No one will acquire Wall unless you put Alpi to the bag. Trade Wall+Alpi for Ben Simmons+ or Westbrook+.

    Then:
-Rockets get a PG and a mentor to JG
    -Rid off Wall
-Alpi get a chance to play with Embiid or Davis.

    Win-win for everyone.

    Is Sengun 6'8??

I just looked at his picture on Clutch standing next to Jalen and if Jalen is 6'6" he doesn't look more than 2 inches taller than Jalen.

He has to be a PF, he can't be a center!!

I am not really big on increasing his minutes. I think they should be more about 5 min a game but at the end of the day it is what it is. And it is not that much of a difference. I don't think playing Green 30 minutes helps his development more than if he had played 25 minutes. After some point, the marginal gain is minimal. It is more important how they are used.

But what i am arguing (and showing by numbers) is that there is no evidence supporting that he does not get minutes because he fouls a lot. Silas is playing him the same minutes regardless he fouls or not.

Overall the arguments trying to justify Sengun's minutes are more 'fanboy' type baseless arguments completely ignoring positives only mentioning the negatives, which are few. He fouls a lot but let's just ignore that he steals, blocks, gets offensive rebounds, deflection and so on, so on. And let's also ignore that he can go to the line much more often than others. People mentioning 'fouls are very important', but for some reason never noticing that he is excellent at going to the line.

Same with turnovers. His turnover numbers are actually not bad compared to the rest of the team. There are a lot of players with a similar rate of turnovers (And some of these are coming from offensive fouls, which is doubly represented in his bad stats). More importantly, if you look at other stats, you'll see that he beats the other players in steals, blocks, offensive rebounds, deflections. He more than makes up for the turnovers.

There is something problematic about following a player to a team. But it is also problematic to assume all 'Sengoonies' are identical and all they care is to see their guy get more minutes. If I show that he does not get more minutes when he fouls less by looking at the games when he fouls less, and I get the answer 'he fouls a lot, that's why he is not playing', who is the 'fanboy'?

I argue that Sengun should get more minutes based on data, stats, give examples, make comparisons and I take the time to answer your comments. You say that I only ask for more minutes because I don't think about the rockets but Sengun. Come on man. We can disagree and that's okay. But don't go that low.

    Alpi is 6'10", likely end-up 6'11.

But as you suggested he should be PF, a better type of Chris Webber.

As Alpi is going to fight it will increase the efficiency of Embiid.

Nah, you don't get to pull that card with me, sorry. Almost every single post you make has clear Sengun bias, anybody who searches through your posts can see the same. You can say that it doesn't matter, it really does. Here's the difference between your position and the majority of everybody else's: If Sengun gets traded tomorrow, we support whoever he was traded for. Conversely, you support the team he was traded to. Trying to say that WE'RE the fanboys with bias here is r****ded, we can read your posts you know.

NBA.com and other sites have it listed. Sengun is 6'10. Jalen Green is 6'4".
