Except for the fouling in which he is head and shoulders above everyone else on the roster. Have you considered the staff has higher expectations for Sengun?
I said it was a much better explanation than the alternatives, that still doesn’t make it a great explanation. Wood plays 31 mins on average which leaves 17 min at center for Sengun. All they have to squeeze in is 8 more minutes, 4 mins per half, of Wood/Sengun to get up to 25 mpg for Sengun and appease everyone complaining. And no the the “two big” lineup isn’t the issue. The issue was Theis/Tate/Green/kpj were all nonshooters or terrible shooters. They didn’t just replace Theis, but Green as well during that win streak, with two shooters. Assuming Green and kpj improve their shooting, a Wood/Sengun lineup for 8 mins a game is totally doable as long as you don’t run Tate at sf with them.
Fouling is absolutely an issue, no doubt. Some of it is overly aggressive and some are cheap calls against a rookie. He’s still far and away the highest rated rookie and overall positive. They should hold him to a higher standard, I just feel they should hold all our high potential rookies to a higher standard
Seems like the issue was Theis messing up the space. The hot shooting of Matthews and Brooks cooled off. So not only do we have to juggle the roster at F/C position but Sengun is fouling AND turning it over a lot.
They have Sengun running things out there in a way Green isn’t. It’s not even half way through their rookie seasons so all of this Sengun crying seems very missplaced.
lol your numerical acrobatics got you so far so you now explaining away why not play the best player more and play more true him... instead everything is just fine in the dumbalytics land phhhahahahahahahah!!! dumbalytics indeeed this team dont suck they have won 7 games in a row until mr silas reverted back to the old losing ways killing all the momentum and psyche of this team.... BASKETBALL IS THE GAME OF MOMENTUM AND NUANCES and ITs 80% MENTAL, JUST 20% IS PHYSICAL TOOLS... especially at this high competing level where difference between blowout loss and a win is only 6 possessions...ITS a 100% MENTAL THING this is why we have teams like gsw not being able to make the playoffs one year and the very next year with the same roster be the best team in nba... your numbers will never be able to measure psychology( and 1000 others intangibles) and even if they did you wouldn't be able to get it because you're not good at math...youre in fact a digrace to analytics which is a beautiful tool indeed...just like MDA who didnt wanted to call a TO because the numbers have shown timeouts dont work...lolololol TAKE THAT FOR DATA
Naturally. I’m not a Green or Sengun only fan. I just don’t have an issue with the current minutes based on the current roster.
That’s the problem I have. That says that the best rookie on the team isn’t in “consideration” for playing time to improve. That is a problem for the current Rockets and absolutely the future Rockets. Sengun is the future of this team.
U got to stop using the gsw to push your dumbass stance. The gsw have a fking hall of famer type player like steph curry. It's not a mental thing where u have belief that u can win games, u need fking talent and gsw is stack with it. Gsw didn't magically became sht and good just bc they started believing. Injuries happens.
It’s not even half way through the season. Do you think if we moved Wood at the deadline that would open up more minutes?
Yes, or it should any way. Also depends on the return and the position of the return. And is trading Wood what’s best?
Right. So it’s more complicated than “consistency”. I think moving Wood at the deadline or the off-season is the best. This team just isn’t very good, not sure how much evidence we need we are rebuilding.
As a rocket's fan, you should know that free throws are the most efficient shot in basketball outside of dunks and some of his fouls are AND 1's on Dunks.
LOL that's your problem. I highly doubt the Rockets think the same way. Until he proves otherwise, Green is considered far more the future of the team than Sengun. There is a reason Green was picked #2 by the Rockets instead of Sengun. You can even make an argument that both KPJ and Woods are higher on the list than Sengun. Now, to Silas's credit, he has realized that Sengun could potentially become a special player and thus gives him a lot of free reign directing the offense when he is on the floor. My guess is to see how Sengun continues to grow as a primary facilitator and if he can overcome defensive obstacles once teams start to actually pay him serious attention during film sessions.
