Silas seriously spent the beginning of this season flushing our offense down the toilet, destroying the spacing, and setting back the progress and development of our best young players in Porter and Green while playing Wood out of position who all then had terrible starts to the season while also limiting Sengun just so he could play…Daniel Theis!!

Somebody please make it make sense!

"I've seen enough. We're bringing back Theis to the lineup again."
Silas or GM, one of those 2.

Last night he was watching Lebron with the ball when he was supposed to be guarding Westbrook....which allowed Westbrook to cut through the paint for an easy one because Green was peaking and not paying attention to his man.

He had several other instances where he ball watches instead of focusing on his man on D.

Not baseless, just observant ....nothing wrong with him needing to work on his defense, it was a known coming into the league after last year in the G-league that his D needed work.

    Your woobie is still ok.

And if you look at his numbers, his assists were down and his rebounds were down....that is ok, because his scoring is up, and he is a SG after all.

    Post the clip.

Also it's a ****ing super low standard. You can literally say "got caught ball watching" about any player in the nba and point to at least one instance of it happening.

You're just throwing **** around because for sime reason, being a silly clown about Green (jumper broken! bench him! Boo boo boys!) is the grumpy old man role you took on - it's dumb.

Not like this matters, but im looking at his assists last night (4) and comparing to his average (2.6).

    4 > 2.6.

The point isn't his assists but how lazy you are at internetting. Do work.

I thought Green was taller and Porter was shorter.

I know what you mean, but I don’t see it as a negative, I see it as a positive: he’s shown excellent off-ball feel so far, cuts, curls, ets… And fact that he’s not chucking and ball-hogging, I see it as a positive.
Yes, he’s not the alpha creator that we (or at least I) were hoping to be getting. But he does have a bag and he’ll develop it further. My concern has always been on other things: defense, boxing out, physicality. He’s just not a positive for the team for now.

He is only 19, I doubt any 19 year old is an alpha creator or dawg yet, they just don't have that confidence....very few Lebrons...around.

Honestly, that is the Rox biggest issue, who is their alpha dog, their leader, right now, no one.

Nope, they are all connected to their man, except for Green who was guarding Westbrook but then started watching Lebron and Westbrook moved into a position to take advantage.

It was not a 2-3, though it does look like it.

It is ok to say Green needs to work on his D - it doesn't mean that he is not a good player....

A response to that tweet actually also brought up splits for the overall season where Green is on the floor with just one big which expands the sample size to a much larger amount and you still see a massive difference with a 60%ts.

This one? I don’t know how to confirm the accuracy of this Tweet, but if this guy is correct that is really impressive.

My only criticism of Green so far (besides inconsistent shooting) is his hesitation to drive the ball at times. It's like he's not confident and if he doesn't feel like the defender bites on that first step, he gives up. He's easily the quickest player on the floor, so I'd like to see him be more aggressive on the attack. Learning how to draw fouls would be next but I'm patiently waiting as he bulks up with time. On the flip side of this, I'm also impressed that he isn't pushing anything and forcing things on offense, this kind of patience is refreshing to see in a 19 yr old.

DD was right btw. He was caught ball watching a couple of times and lost his men cutting to the hoop. It's still a work in progress on how to double the post while not losing his man.

There was this specific play in the fourth where Lebron was backing down Nwaba and Green made a slow move to double from the baseline, and Monk immediately cut to the rim for a layup. Green was visibly upset at himself for losing Monk. It's a learning experience.

yes, correct. things will take time to shake out.
Sengun, Wood, KPJ, Green and even Jaygup can create, but none is yet a horse.
IMO Sengun and Christopher should be featured more.

Speaking of Kobe here, JC is a closer Kobe than JG, he has this Kobe-sque midrange fadeaway, but he’s been told not to use it, it seems, and the guy is generally deemphasized offensively. Which, you know is OK, I guess. In summer league he had this "young Kobe" atrocious shot selection and hogging and chucking, which didn’t look good. But you know, maybe you don’t get vintage Kobe without going through the bad “young Kobe”, who knows…

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of growth in his on ball defense, but his off ball defense is a weakness at the moment at times because of inexperience and ball watching. We did however see one of the worst ball watchers of all time (James Harden) improve tremendously in that area over the course of the years he was here.
