My original post was suggesting that in situations where we have all our young players out with injury, Wall is a better option than a 10-day G-league contract. When the players come back, back to the bench he goes. Just seems like a win-win situation for me, he gets a bit of a run out to showcase himself, and it doesn't affect our development because the players are sitting anyway. I don't believe I said anything about him coming back to the team full time at all...

No ****, the Rockets really just need guys that are good at playing basketball because they don’t have many.

What I see with Rockets offense is the bad reads, hesitation, and lack of flow. Good teams distribute the ball quickly. They know their spots and they run plays to set up shooters. Harden’s Rockets did this in their hey day. So did the Warriors. We saw Charlotte do it tonight. Current rox team just hesitates too much instead of quickly finding the open man. No movement. They often miss the big rolling, corner 3, or man in the middle. There’s no flow to the offense. There were flashes of it during that 7 game win streak but that’s long gone for some reason. Like Hollins says “Too much holding”

Pretty off-putting performance by everyone wearing a Rocket jersey. One thing to lose and another just to completely forget how to play the sport. Not a single bright spot from this game. Hope I can watch something that resembles basketball tonight.

Let's be grateful that the refs didn't call 3-seconds on our indecisive 19-year prodigy. Sengun has his moments but we'd turn the ball over constantly if we tried to run a steady diet of this play with our guards.

Then again, we did turn the ball over 21 times.

Tragically with our skill level, when we make any passes as we try to work a super spaced-out system, we risk turnovers. That's how NBA defenses have caught up. Only elite guards who can be uber precise with the ball or create their own shot off the dribble can make these sorts of sets work. With our erratic shooters and mediocre ball handlers, everything is a grind.

This is why it makes sense to me to ask for greater player movement in the scheme to give Sengun better options than pass to than the static guy in the corner or the static guy on the wing.

If it were me, I'd like to see Wood roll through the paint and do something else to create space: like move to screen for the guy in the corner who could flare out to the wing. Queen, who is on the wing, could then rotate to the top of the key, as an example). Christopher could slide to his right as well rotating outside the 3-point line.

In this clip, all the Hornets know exactly where each offensive player will be and they are in every passing lane forcing Sengun to create this difficult shot.

LOLOLOL what are you even talking about? that was the simplest possible pass for JC to make...phhhhhh hahahahah you lose all credibility here silas apologist...

here watch the video before commenting, and take some carrot juice for gods sake before it...

even if it were true this is still the way to play...we are losing anyways... this way youd have a chance to win...and developing your superstar and your system

most of the times our players just wont make that simplest pass to alpi and let him work from there...they usally go another way from wherever he is...i dont care if its at halfcourt or 3pt line... this is highest % offense possible for our team because hes the best playmaker by far .. AND ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE

just give him the blessed ball whenever you see him...dont act all important and dribble around pretending you looking for some high iq solution plays instead...

and my guess they not doing it because of how silas treats him by benching him spoonfeeding him minutes and not rewarding his play...if it were harden or any other superstar theyd make sure they pass him the ball as soon as they see him on the court...

Not what I’m talking about. Im not talking about anyone’s comments or criticisms. This is my take, which is about effective ball movement. The Rockets were quite effective moving the ball and knowing their spots especially at the height of those good rox teams. Harden knew where his shooters were so did CP3. It wasn’t perfect in but it was a simple game script that they executed well. Good teams move the ball and execute. Pretty simple.

You are right about people not wanting to pass to Sengun. He calls for the ball and is often open in scoring position and other players withhold. I think everyone sees these missed opportunities. They are very strange and represent a lack of teamwork. I’m shocked that pro coaches can’t seem to make adjustments that result in better sharing of the ball.

Until our roster is reset, without Wall and some of the other guys who play with only their own self-interest in mind—rather than the best basketball play—we’re going to keep seeing losing, uncoordinated basketball. I suppose if it gets bad enough the owner may have intervene and ask the coaches why players aren’t sharing the ball more. If it were me, I’d take the best deal I could find and start 2022 with guys who want to be here.

But my larger point is that none of the players in this short clip move to make things easier for Sengun. He’s got his eyes up, ready to help them get a better shot and they are frozen in place.

I guess they are expecting Sengun to be an NBA big man and look for his own shot, but Sengun has a different mindset. He’s been coached in the past to seek out dimes at every moment. But his teammates can’t cash those in and are not used to moving with a big man that could get them a better shot.
