Don't be sorry, we're just debating a subject that we disagree on and I don't find it pathetic nor sad. First of all, all sins are the same. Remember, "He who without sin cast the first stone?" It doesn't say "He with out this sin or that sin cast the first stone." Secondly, I think what you are doing is confusing Sins with crimes. A sin is a sin but all crimes are not the same. And because all crimes are not the same, that's why Deshaun is being investigated for Misdemeanors and not Felonies, as you are incorrectly implying.
I’m not confusing anything with anything. You brought up forgiveness. What he did isn’t forgivable except in a religious sense…..if you’re in to that type of thing. And no, you actually don’t know what the charges are. The criminal charges haven’t been filed……yet.

Hopefully after the FBI investigation is through the felonies will soon follow. I can forgive Watson for his sins but I never want him to play another down for the Texans or in the NFL for that matter. Forgiveness doesn't = having the privilege of playing NFL football.
I can’t believe these bastards dragged me back in…the Texans I mean. But I wanted to say that accusations aside, deshaun gave up on the franchise, the team, the city. He’s got a lot of problems going on but he turned his back on the Texans even before the worst of what he did came out. The bridge is burned and has turned into ash in the wind. From a football standpoint mills + 3 1st(I believe they can get it) is significantly more valuable than deshaun

At the end of the day, Watson is gone. He’s outta here. He doesn’t want to be here and no one in the front office wants him here. Hypothetically, let’s say Watson walked in and got on his knees and begged Cal for forgiveness. He’s still out of here. At this point, trading Deshaun would be more beneficial to the team’s long term success than it would be to keep him around. The cap hit alone would handicap you from addressing the areas that are needed to field a competitive team. There needs to be improvements on so many levels to get this team back to where it needs to be. A Deshaun trade can exponentially expedite that process. Building the defense, acquiring explosive skill position players, and a revamped o-line is going to take draft capital. Hopefully, with all those things in place, combined with Davis Mills’ promising growth- leads to success. If not, you take your shot with another QB in another year or two with the rest of your team already in place. Kiss Deshaun goodbye.
I never said I would forgive him because he's good at Football, that's ridiculous! You said that but you forgive a person because it's the right thing to do! If he continues to do it afterwards, now that's on him! But before this, he could do no wrong in anyone's eyes and now after a mistake everyone is vilifying him....he's a 25yr old that made a mistake!
Yes.....before people knew that he was a serial abuser of women, people had a positive image of him.....once they found out he was a serial abuser of women, they view him as a serial abuser of women. How unfair. I like how you see detailed accounts of him abusing dozens of women and see that as merely "a mistake", like he slipped, fell, and that's how he accidentally abused dozens of women.
Trading away a young top five qb is committing franchise suicide. Texans will never recover from it. It’s pretty easy to build a good team around a great qb, the hard part is finding that elite qb. Even if Caserio hits on every draft pick, it won’t make a difference. Look at a team like the Browns. A talented roster with a very good head coach but they’re held back by a mediocre qb. That’s what you have to look forward to for the next 20 years until Texans find their next franchise qb.
Forever is a long time. Does it suck that the franchise QB turned out to be a rapist? Absolutely, but there's nothing the Texans can do about that but try to move on as best as possible. The rebuild could take "forever", it could take 2 years. There's simply no way of knowing, but given they now have a competent GM, they are in a better spot than they were 2 years ago.
I’d counter your argument by listing a few QB’s who have taken their team on a super bowl run in the past decade or so. Won* -Nick Foles(wentz played a large chunk of the season-not particularly an Elite QB) -Joe Flacco -Eli Manning *Made it to the super bowl -Jimmy Garoppolo -Jared Goff -Colin Kaepernick Point is- if you have a solid defense, disciplined football team, and good coaching(which Culley won’t be here long term), a team can go on a super bowl run. If you look at the mid 2000’s almost all the way up until now- Super Bowls we’re dominated by QB’s named Brady, Manning, and Roethlisberger. Those guys are almost extinct at this point. Outside of Brady and Russ Wilson- you can’t show me many QB’s who are proven Super Bowl champions in this league. Who’s to say that Mills’ or any other QB we potentially draft won’t have at least the success Deshaun has had? He never made it past the divisional round. He had 4 years to do so. Almost every QB I mentioned made it past the divisional round in their first 4 years- largely in part because their teams had the defense and skill position players in place to do so
He was still out stalking AFTER the complaints were filed. You can forgive somebody, but that forgiveness doesn't have to include the privilege of ever playing NFL football again. We're talking about 2 different things.
