    So I'm not an Elon Musk hater but nor am I a fan boy. He's not really any different than any other CEO I have come across in my time.

    But I do think the guy is being a bit of a drama queen in how defensive his comment comes across. He has definitely gotten away with not paying taxes in the past, and uses tactics to avoid paying taxes as well. For example he takes S-block loans - basically getting very low interest loans against his stock so he can basically get liquidity without any taxes, invest and spend that money tax free and grow it thus making him even more wealthy.

    Is this legal? Yes it is. But it's also clearly to avoid paying taxes. So Warren has a point here. Instead of him lashing back, I'd just be honest and say, "Yes, I don't pay tax most years because I don't cash in my stock"

    There’s a reason all the innovation are in capitalist societies vs. socialist

    there’s no motivation or reward If everyone is the ‘same’

    There is no Elon musk in Cuba or North Korea or China
    Those environments kill creativity
    There’s a reason why rich Chinese in china send their kids to American colleges

    we should definitely send these dumb socialists here to North Korea and revoke their citizenship

    Tesla surges with massive new south Houston power storage facility

    Tesla Inc. has taken the wraps off a backup-power storage project in Angleton designed to ease the impact of incidents like February 2021’s near-collapse of the Texas power grid.

    The project’s 81 Tesla Megapacks are aimed at providing backup power while reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Tesla says its Megapack batteries store clean energy that can be used anytime.

    I would guess that Tesla's megapacks do not discriminate based on energy input and would store coal-based energy as well as solar, etc.
