When did I say I was fine with China's lack of transparency? I didn't and you just moved the goal post. You are wrong that they tried to hide the pandemic. I would be fine if you were accurate about what they did - they tried to muzzle their dr warning of it, they did not allow others to come in to investigate the origin and when they did, there were many restrictions in place that sow doubts in the investigation. What they didn't do is hide that there was a potential pandemic. What they also didn't do is NOT share critical information that helped everyone else - they shared the genetic makeup of the virus that allowed the vaccine makers to get a head start on prototyping a vaccine. They shared their clinical findings and how they were treating patients. This is the reality of a world where there are many greys - not they bad, we good simplistic craps that I hear too often. If you had said let's boycott due to the lack of transparency, I don't agree with it but I get it. Same with human rights violations. But the simple - they hid the pandemic - that's false and a boycott on that falseness could backfire with less cooperation next round.

H&M and some others are out of China over human rights. So it's not completely out of the question. I'm not a history buff, but who is to say that the 80's boycott didn't exacerbate economic issues in USSR for it to dissolve some 10 years later.. But you can also argue that it was still pointless considering that Russia made full circle into another authoritarian regime that is currently in place over there. Maybe US could use a war of principles with an outside force and we can unite over something internally for once. (hopefully there are no arms races of course and it is just a war of words)

Nice way to spin it using a cartoon, however the reality of the situation is Biden's out to lunch because his brain is facing off against age related cognitive decline. Saying I agree doesn't make sense but to see people circle the wagons on this and try to cover up for him is hilarious.
