would have to agree. Just waiting for a decent transfer of the show. There’s an hd version on ifc channel but looks horrible. The dvd set is even worst.

It’s comedy, half hour, on tv weekly. I’d say yes.

I didn't notice some classics mentioned like Sanford and Son, I love Lucy, and Good Times. But, I'll name some that I would recommend to an adult gen Z who hasn't seen anything:

    Fresh Prince
    Parks and Rec
    The Bernie Mac show
    Archer
    Seinfield

I’ve read your take on Covid. I’d be surprised if you could read much over a 10th grade level in English much less speak another language.

King of the Hill (perfect show)
Futurama (yes, that's what I said)
Simpson's (early seasons outweigh later seasons?)
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (best live action)
The Office (maybe ranked higher if Michael Scott was constant throughout)

@MRS_KILLATRON2000 might have a slightly different order.

Good call on Bernie Mac. Didn't have nearly as long of a run as most of the shows listed, but was still good. I'd also add Everybody Hates Chris.

    Next five:

    Seinfeld
    Simpsons
Three’s Company (physical humor and innuendo are timeless comedy styles)
    Silicon Valley
    Married With Children

Honorable mention: Parks and Rec and Friends.

Same list as you, except Frasier. I'd probably stick You're The Worst in there.

I need to check that out. I think it's on HBO Max.

For my list, I required that the show actually make me laugh out loud several times. It seems like most sitcoms recently, even ones that I really liked (Good Place, Parks & Rec) aren't shows that make me laugh. I enjoy those shows and I let out an occasional "ha!" but that's it.

    1. I Love Lucy (revolutionized TV, still funny almost 60 years later)
    2. All in the Family
    3. Seinfeld
    4. The Office
    5. Married with Children

WKRP in Cincinnati, Barney Miller and Taxi had episodes that were as funny as the first five but not as consistently funny.

That was sort of a South Park reference from the South Park movie.
