I don't know. If the player wants to be freed from the contract, he can always choose to give up some money on a buyout. If the team wants to be freed from the contract... that's the tricky part. I think teams shouldn't be able to be bailed out from stupid contract decisions. If they knew that they could get an amnesty down the road, more reckless contracts would be doled out and would create a crazy free agent market.

 

Westbrick as a Laker lifer works for me.

NBA insider Shams Charania has heard that the Lakers have been “active” in the trade market. He listed Ben Simmons and Jerami Grant as a couple of players that are worth keeping an eye on.

“This team doesn’t look like it has the young legs that they need to have, and that’s why I’ve heard that they have been active in the trade market,” Charania said. “When you look at a guy like Ben Simmons, they’d love to get their hands on a guy like him. Jerami Grant, those are the types of guys that they need on this team.”​

Oh you mean he turned him into a champion like Chris Bosh and Kevin Love? Anthony Davis is soo overrated its crazy. Dude can't ever stay healthy and is made of glass. What do you think he should be doing? ANyhting besides jump shooting is a trip to the DL.

Its still shocks me how much the media overrates him. How he made the top 75 list over Dwight is beyond me. Dwight was 10 times a better player than Anthony Freaking Davis.

Westbrook is amazing. Defensive plays like that are common. The jump in the air with no idea what to do turnovers are common. He must see them in film sessions. Still doesn't faze him at all. Still as brazen as ever. His skin must be as thick as his skull.

 

He has no defensive awareness at all. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt that he isn't lazy. He just has never learned to play team defense. If Westbrook didn't have the speed and athleticism, he wouldn't even be able to play in the g-league.
