My only minor gripe is he appears to not like contact whatsover... Hitting 3s open up so many FT opportunities for yourself and others , which helps get opposing bigs in foul trouble... Hopefully next season...
If you don't see the star potential, you either don't watch him play or you're blind as ****. He flies around that court, but he's in control, not just barrelling around at pace, there's agility there. Imagine when he puts on some muscle how much more explosive he's going to be. People try and write him off as just an athlete, but there's athletic and there's super-athletic. Jalen does not move like the average athlete.
I SAID I WAS COMING FOR YOU TOO If you haven't noticed, sir, I just enjoy making fun and talking hot **** in general, what bob's got going on is definitely different lol. Fair and balanced is my middle name.
Why don't you read the game thread? Where I had numerous positive things to say about him. Funny that, do positive things, get positive comments. Your mind must be blown right now. Sorry for the backfire.
https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/the-jalen-green-experience-is-coming.313701/page-13#post-13823087 Also his 3 point % is now . 306. That's what Morant did last year. It's sliding into respectable territory for a ball handling perimeter player. Luka is at 32, Giannis is 28, Harden is 33 this year. If he can hit low 30s this year and improve on it by year 3 or so, combined with his elite first step and other obvious talents, that's all star or all nba level play.
Nah, he has had 10+ FTA nights. The Rockets don't do a great job of putting him in downhill situations. Its mostly toss him the ball outside and hope he does something great with it from a dead stop, Harden style Drinbble hand offs & screens please, and for the love of god please don't stick him in Twin Tower lineups again even if it's not Theis. Those lineups are no good/too cloggy for drivers.
I got egg on my face I apologize. I said too early that green was a bust. I was wrong. Wow. Very impressed tonight. Completely different player without theis in the lineup.
2 assists and 1 rebound, combined with his extremely low rate of drawing fouls, isn't great. I'm glad he can score, but we're only celebrating this because he was so bad in his first games. He's fun to watch though. No question about that.
He's quick, should be running circles around Sengun like it's a cone drill. Them playing together should be higher priority.
He also attempts a much higher volume of 3 point shots than Morant. Green attempts 6.5 attempts per game, higher than any of Morant's seasons (including this season), and equivalent to Harden's attempts in his 5th season. He has also demonstrated pretty versatile ways of shooting 3s.
Definitely saw an improvement in him even aside from the hot shooting which may or not persist. He was better defensively even though he still wasn’t great and had some bad beats he at least looked like he has a clue now. I think Garry bird set the tone for what he should be doing out there
He had another fluke hot shooting night, not the first, won't be the last.... the Rockets still lost.
Why not next game, he has had high ft games this season, just need to it consistently. We have seen good flashes of everything, just need to put it all together on a consistent basis
Good game back, but he also had a hot shooting night from 3. He looked like he watched some film about where to be on both sides of the court and just appeared more comfortable.
I think when his body matures in year 3-4, he will be a much better finisher. That is part of maturity that for most people only comes as their body matures.
