What can Silas do to stop the kid from reaching and hacking? His lateral quickness isnt great, and he is slow footed on the break. He is an old school post player - finding his way in the modern NBA will be tricky. He does have a long way to go - Lucas wasnt just blowing hot air up everyones ass, it just makes some people upset - all the rookies in the NBA save the ones who are cradled among great veterans will have to figure out how to make their mark on this league.

KPJ = best passer on the team
C Wood = best post player on the team
C Wood = best overall player on this team
C Wood = highest VORP on the team (LOL at PER)
SEngun bias = creating coach hates him narrative
SEngun travelling and hacking does not equal refs hate him :D:D:D

    This is fun! More lists!

If Green can improve on defense like you think then a high IQ player like Sengun can as well. Especially identifying rotations and hedging to offset his physical limitations.

Sengun is already very adept at taking charges and quick hands for deflections/steals.

His defensive upside has always been higher than Green's, even though Green is the more explosive player.

We should definitely trade him, but it was never because he sucks.

What about getting Yurtseven and some FRPs from Miami.

Yurtseven grabbing more rebounds than anyone else Per36 recently. He is 23 and will be in prime when Rockets contends for championship in 3-4 years time.

This. No need to be dishonest about the rationale for trading Wood. He’s a good player and it’s shame the timing didn’t work with Harden.

I dunno, I think if we're being real, a lot of those categories are headed by someone who'll sit on the bench in street clothes getting very wealthy.

I don't speak for everyone else, they can have their own opinions.

I like Wood alot, and I think he is a great player, and that is exactly why we should trade him.

I still think we got the better end of that trade (Olynyk) but definitely not remotely what people were saying we'd get. I'm not sold on trading Wood, the only teams likely after him would be contenders so are the picks even worth it? I say we keep him, play him, if he doesn't become an all star we offer him a nowhere near max contract, if he wants his max then we can trade him as an expiring contract or simply use the additional space for signings much like we will be doing with Wall (nobody is trading half their roster or one of their stars for Wall's expiring contract.)

I want Christian Wood traded because he's ugly. (Yes I mean it, I'm vain and gay and superficial, sengun and Garry are keepers, wish we had giddey)

    Wood=pippen look alike. No thanks.

The power forward I really want next to sengun starting would be the guy we see tonight Donatus sabonis he's hot

The problem is this team has NO LEADERSHIP - no heirarchy, so all the players are jostling to see who will be THE GUY.....Silas could fill that void but he is like a puppy dog....a friendly coach, not one to get in and lead so much as to guide.

So, maybe it becomes Wood, maybe Green, maybe Porter Jr, maybe Sengun - but someone will need to emerge....and right now....that is not happening.

If Wood did that more and step back 3's/trying to play point in transition less, nobody would be asking for him to be traded. For a "finesse" player, he should still use his power game more, he evidently has one.

Except Wood doesn't have the highest VORP on the team. Sengun does. His WS/48 and BPM are also higher. If there's an advanced metric out there, you can pretty much bet it favors Sengun. Wood has not been an efficient player this season.
