Okay….keep focusing on that aspect…. Doesn’t mean that House wouldn’t have been used in a trade as salary…. You do understand things can have multiple purposes…. Not just one? Just turned out Stone picked up Matthews and needed the spot.
Would have been better off getting the second from the Lakers and signing someone else to a NG contract for trade purposes, taken a flier on someone else, etc.
LOL You just cannot stop with the alternate realities. Of course it would be nice to add House as part of larger trade package. But that was NOT the scenario presented in the article. Stone was offered a SRP by a team for House but held out for FRP. THAT is the scenario, not some made up BS you've concocted.
If this is accurate and I believe Nook, then the Rockets messed up here. House never had a future here and taking a 2nd as an asset for him is something they should have done. They were never going to get a better asset than that.
So you are saying only things mentioned in the article occurred? I don’t. So the only reason we held onto House was a FRP? I just don’t believe that and that doesn’t fit the MO of the front office. It’s not some alternative reality when it is merely a strategy. It’s not my fault you struggle with big picture things or how things can have multiple purposes.
Lol. I own your mind. I only argued that “Stone didn’t get greedy” and it got your panties in a wad. Hindsight is always 20/20. Sometimes you lose players for nothing instead of something. Losing House for nothing instead of a SRP doesn’t mean Stone got greedy.
House FINALLY signed a 10 day contract. House was worthless and Rockets had a chance to get SOME value for him but whiffed. You are just spouting conspiracy nonsense again. PROVE WHAT YOU SAY INSTEAD OF REPEATING YOUR NONSENSE AD NAUSEUM LIKE ITS FACT.
My goodness you are triggered….All because I said “Stone didn’t get greedy”. How stupid is to believe that a single article contains all the information regarding how the organization viewed House.
Absolutely in hindsight. But I disagree that means “Stone got greedy” as you said. It was a calculated risk that didn’t work out, that’s just part of team building especially rebuilding.
