I dont have to explain laughing at you for calling to move the 2nd pick after 18 games. I'll laugh at you again.
We do not know what he will become but one player has rarely saved a franchise other than outliers that are Dream, Harden, those are pretty rare. So I get your sentiment, I would give Green more games to evaluate but yes, my patience would be growing thin as well. Christopher does not have any pressure as a high pick because he is not.
Harden didnt save anything and unless Jalen can help win a ring for this franchise neither will he. Safe to say nobody knows after 18 games and those that think they do just have an irrational need to be "right". The Jalen Green story has just begun.
That is another plane of existence entirely, another level so to speak. Harden's teams were mostly Conference Final standard or at least 2nd round and farther. This is as close as you could get, other than being Lebron in the East. GSW just had the best franchise, best team, the league behind it etc.
Harden choked his fair share of games. No pass from me. No excuses for Harden. Dream took far less talented teams further. Comparing Jalen to Harden is equally outlandish in the present context. Just let Jalen be Jalen - we are barely in chapter 1.
Peeps, learn to read, it was in fact a warning not to compare him to the legends of the franchise. Greatness also comes with special talents, Harden could do anything basketball related except perimeter Defense. Green's explosiveness is cool but 20-30 players in the NBA are pretty explosive and scorers.
You don't want to be Pitino with Chauncey Billups. Suck it up and own your choices. Work on the kid, this is a 3 year project at least with everything they said. Unless something speeds up our timeline AND affects his playing time, something like finding someone better, he is going to be at the 2 for the long run.
Hey Rockets fans, looks like we have some competition boys! If we do this right, maybe we can run JG off social media too!
Come on......sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me..... When did we get so ****ing soft? DD
one small dif is that Ja Morant is awesome while Jalen Green is terrible… that;s just a fact, not an opinion. So if you calling Ja out, you’re obviously just an idiot. If you’re calling JG out you’re obviously just …obvious. Reality exists and is kinda important. Now! JG may turn it around, the future is uncertain. But the present is pretty certain and quite obvious
Imagine completely giving up on a 19 year old player 18 games into their rookie season. Even though he played well in 4 of his previous 5 games before he went out. I wonder how many Pistons fans were completely done with Cade earlier this season when he was shooting even worse than JG. They look stupid now.
Especially if these critics even took the time to compare rookie campaigns between the two!!! You cant make this stuff up! LOLLLLL
Isn't your argument that Jalen sucks because the team sucks (and loses) while he's on the court, and does better when he's off the court? I suggest you take a hard look at Ja Morant and then come back and let me know if you still think he's awesome. Because his team went on a huge winning streak when he sat down, and now right when he comes back they lose to a bottomfeeder in OKC. And all the stats show that the team is doing better without him. All the arguments you have against Green should apply to Morant too. They're 9-11 with Morant and 10-2 without him.
Neither team would as the Grizzles have someone who at his third year is a known commodity and the Rockets won't because with less than a quarter of a NBA season for a 19 year old, we don't know what we have in him yet and could potentially be better than Morant. It's called uncertainty.
This saying first appeared in the late 1800s, when we were just removed from slavery, women had no rights, labor had no rights, etc. I think we know a lot better now that words are actually, in many cases, more powerful than sticks and stones (pen is mightier than the sword) and many times words can lead to sticks and stones. Not that this is a big deal for Ja on the whole, but its even less of a big deal that he's taking a social media break.
