Before this pandemic, I've never realized how much time and energy Americans spend on creating and then evaluating and arguing over messaging. It's like they're watching Nero fiddle away while Rome burns. All this navel gazing is too sad and frustrating.
I want to say the 70s culture wars started it, but Rome is a good allusion to Democratic challenges. I think messaging has been weaponized to another level like what smoking continues tp do to people well after the Science Has Been Settled. It's those same tactics that let Americans off the hook for their excessive polluting and energy waste
it’s a little hilarious to comment on Biden’s messaging. People have formed their opinions and few can or will be swayed. Decision science/studies will tell you that the messaging that mattered was the messaging at the front end. That’s not an anti trump statement. That’s just basic decision science 101. But you’re a smart guy, you knew that. The reality is that Trump blew it and dug these graves. He did it so well they booed him when he said he had been boosted. He couldn’t change their minds if he wanted to.

I think it's safe to say that case counts will continue to grow because this variant is new, so it will get worse in that way. But what do you think the hospitalization or death rate will be? How will it compare to alpha and delta?

Factually wrong. He exceeded his promise of 100 million vaccine shots within his first 100 days. He did it in 58 days. Right-wing media and many of today Republicans did a great disservice to their voter's base and the nation with their anti-vaccines and mask messages.
Use correct terminology at least. You can label that authoritarianism but fascism is more specific and usually involves extreme ethnic nationalism centered around a singular cult of personality who usually involves hyperbolic claims about leftists and Marxists destroying the country and how culture is.lolsing "traditional values". These are all common threads amongst most if not all fascist regimes. You post a lot here and still don't know the basics such as what "fascism" is.

There is no singular definition for "fascism". The best we can do is pull the common threads that apply to most fascist regimes. Not all fascism isn't centered around ethnic identity but usually it's still centered around a strong national identity and usually involves rhetoric about losing cultural values that are tied to that identity and being replaced with "cultural Marxism".
