This actually cements the case for Wood-Mobley pairing.

And FYI, Allen is not even as switchable as Wood.

Allen plays taller and longer protecting rim, technique and lateral slide breaks down further away from paint he goes.

He still hunches over too much in iso defense.

And JA is nowhere near the offensive threat or as offensively versatile as Wood.

    More excuses.

JA and/or Mobley would have prospered on any team, including the Rockets.

Entire NBA knew that JA was getting max before he played a game with Cavs.

And Mobley was the runaway winner of NBA GM survey of which player was going to be the best player in 2021 draft.

Garland and Sexton ran the show for Cavs last season and team SUCKED.

Is backup PG Rubio the X-factor for Cavs who are now in 4th in East?

    Rubbish.

Looks like Jalen will either be back this Thursday against the Pacers or next week against the Hornets or Lakers.

that may be, but my point remains - he doesn't want to sit out and be called a bust just to help the rockets get a better pick. There's nothing in it for him.

The rockets have no desire to have jalen sit out. That’s just plain silly

Exactly right. Its easy for fans to point out how long he's been injured and speculate the Rockets are keeping him out to tank... but do you think they could actually get Jalen to agree to that? I don't. Can you imagine Stone texting Jalen like "hey man, tests came back great you're ready to go, but would you mind just, like not doing that for a while?"

also this premise assumes Jalen has some impact on winning, which is not the case at the moment. if they wanted to tank they should bring him and KPJ back ASAP so they can go back to leading the league in turnovers and inefficient shooting. that's how you tank.

There will be a time, not long from now, when we'll look back fondly on the times when Jalen Green wasn't going to play any time soon.

I think about Jalen Green every day and it bothers me that people actually think he’s not a bust or that he has any potential? When are y’all going to declare him a bust ? After 30 games, 50!! If Jalen Green is going to live rent free in my mind, I want someone else to pay for it!

you quoted my **** twice before I responded. I didn’t know I had that affect on you bro :D

you know Mobley is in a better system. Of course I have Mobley envy. But giving up on green right now is rubbish.

I think so, if the proposition is: "kid, do you want to go back to G-league, to hone your craft a bit there?" If he sees it as a demotion, he may be, "nah, my hammy still bothering me"

Sorry, it takes many years… Darko was in the league for 8+ years. Hasheem, Stro Swift, remember how excited CF was when we got them?
#2 picks have a looooong leash and get many opportunities until they are officially "declared" a bust.

NBA GMs also said that Ayton and JJJ would be the best out of 2018 draft.
They also said Wiseman would be the best player of his draft class. And that’s just 2 random ones i looked up. At that point I’d rather GMs think Green won’t be the best player because they miss more often than Danuel on his posterdunks

How many games do you think it takes to declare a rookie a bust? ⁵

3 years? Probably sometime after they legally are allowed to drink alcohol.
