The hype was crazy, he is not a bad player.... Just in comparison to what Detroit could have had they wasted their #1 on a future good/role player.... I just think that if you have that #1 the only chance of winning with it is by picking a franchise type star/superstar....

Nobody talk about i.Stewart and his ******* fouls. We could saw Alperens injury ankle or arm. İn the and good Win good day.

 

We mostly played the young guys and will trade Gordon soon. Im not sure what else you want the Rockets to do. i would like Garuba to get minutes over nwaba but we would have won anyway. Not sure what you wanted to happen tonight that would make us lose against this Pistons team other than play Theis and that would cut into Senguns minutes.

 

Yeah that is definitely a fair statement. This draft was loaded with talent. Cade always felt more like the high floor #1 pick to me. I don't think a single GM would've picked Josh over Cade though and I doubt if they did did redraft today much would change with that statement.The good thing for all of the guys this year is an NBA player's first off season can reset their whole career. Cade has some things that are absolutely valued in the NBA, height for his skillset, passing, poise, doesn't seem afraid of the moment, control, potential to be a good 3 point threat despite his slow start etc.

 

Detroit had to make a decision that off season between 2 FA they had and could only sign one.
The 2 were C-Wood and Jerami Grant.
They chose Jerami.
And lately from what I see/hear quite a few pistons fans are ready to trade him.
Seems he has 3, 3, 4 average to above average games and then goes off with a monster game.

Of course Christian hasn't exactly been the model of consistency himself!

 

I had that same suspicion for other players in the past.
Then I saw that they corrected the numbers after the game - maybe they watch tape, I don't know.
As for assists, yeah - even our own kid Sengun's benefitted from the loose approach to that stat line.
Anyway, I can never understand how a desperation pass has to be marked down as an assist, e.g.
I guess in order to keep the numbers objective, they just ignore the circumstances in which certain moves happen.

 

Maybe if we trade Wood and Gordon

Theis prob has a clause in his contract that he gets paid if he starts so many games … I’m about 98.9% sure he does because that’s main reason he came to Rockets

 

That's right.

Gordon surprised me this season so far. I had thought he had been steadily declining, having less and less fun, especially with a rebuilding team.

Wood is a good player, despite some people here think he's some kind of throw away trash.

 

EG is definitely helping us get some wins, but it’s short sighted to keep him at his age and contract on a team with this much guard depth. We HAVE to trade Gordon while he’s playing well AND before one of his little nagging injuries starts derailing his game.

 

I think EG is the priority to find a good home, we still have KPJ and Green injured and waiting.

 

I just looked up his stats. EG turns 33 on Christmas Day. One week from today.
