Also, I think you are comparing Wood to present day CA Towns, you can't! Woods is similar to Towns in his 2nd or 3rd yr offensively but I think he's better than Towns defensively. Towns has become more aggressive and I think that's Woods next phase in his game.

    Fans have to be patient!

Similarly to Scola who joined the league as a rookie when he was 27.

Wood really developed when he was 24/25, do you think it is our fault that his starting point has been so late?

The league does not care about that when you are undrafted.

You make the best out of it and get your check and money.

Sheesh, people treat this like it is some sort of Time chamber in Dragon BallZ and you train while no time has gone by.

You only have so much time, and if you are injured most of the time, well it is ticking away.

I think his body needs to get use to the pounding. He's slight of build and the constant pounding wears him down. He's going to have to add strength and weight over time, similar to Steph.

The only thing Wood might have over him is fewer mileage but it doesn't mean anything if he gets injured during it.

People will evaluate Wood on his production, on him being healthy, and on the millions dollars he makes per year.

It is that simple, more patience or not, that is the naked truth.

No idea why people get too attached to millionaires. On the contrary to some beliefs, Wood is not the Number 1 candidate to leave.

I think you're going in a different direction. However to elaborate on your point, Scola still played well into his late 30's in the league and just retired from Professional Basketball recently.

However, the point I'm making is that Wood, unlike Scola does not have a lot of mileage on his body when he came into the league AND that's what people are missing.

Scola played professional ball over seas which is more physical than the NBA. Wood was playing in the G -League, some over seas and sitting on the bench in the NBA until he got his chance.....He doesn't have near the mileage as other 26 yr old NBA players do but neither does he have the experience either.

So my point is as he develop over the next yr or two, his game, along with his body will get better BUT I know most posters don't want to hear this.....IT TAKES TIME!

Breh, I think you have an idea of a perfect Christian Wood player, I do not want to burst your precious bubble but there is no other way to break it to you.

Scola did not have serious red flags. It is truly not something fans can make up out of thin air.

If you read articles on players, you would know what to expect from people like that.

People with that kind of baggage.

It was well documented why he got to a rocky start in the first place, he came to practices late and so on.

It took him couple years to get that figured out.

Or he was unmotivated and pouting despite being new to the league. He is not innocent.

I got news for you... A LOT OF PEOPLE DO THINGS WHEN THEY ARE YOUNGER, THAT THEY HAVE TO LEARN FROM.

It doesn't mean you hold that over their heads. I haven't heard of any incidents since he's been with the Rockets. If so, please share?

Lol, I am sure he will be given time but it is hardly up to us, you can go implore the management.

I am not the Maester of Time and Space after all.

Also, I never said Wood was the PERFECT player. Every player has fault(s). It's about putting the right players around them to win a Championship.

I just happen to think you can win a Championship with Wood, as being a piece to the puzzle, rather than TANKING and going into draft and gambling on another 19 yr old.

Seems he is still a manipulative player when he does not get involved.

Not really, you just have to read Wood threads throughout last season and this season.

There is quite a nice following of both parties, I think you belong to the Pro Wood congregation.

I have watched 2 decades of ball, there is quite a lot I have seen.

The good and bad about CWood, it's nothing people have not seen in the past.

I'm neither Pro or Anti Wood, I'm PRO - ROCKETS, 100%! And that's the problem I think a lot of people on this board have, they fall in love with a player and forget about the team.

I just happen to think Wood is a good team player and like I've been saying for awhile, I think he and Sengun are going to pair well together.

I think they need another forward. I heard rumors of Cam Reddish, I think that will be perfect!

The management knows better as they are the professionals.

You do not give big contracts easily when the player is not clearly a superstar, he is not even an Allstar yet.

I have no problem giving him 20 million though, but I would not give him 4 or 5 years.

I think a 2-3 years is fair. That is where I draw my line.

    You can have your opinion..

Keep it flexible, keep it simple.

You can be pro rockets and not see the value you see in Wood. I think he can take minutes on a bad team, he has some value and he is at his peak or even if he is not I don’t want the rockets be the team to take that risk. So if somebody is willing to pay him, I will be happy to let him go. I don’t see a team player in him either. You see a different player. That’s just it.

    Arguing about this is silly.

FO media mouthpieces have already come out and said that there is no plan to trade Wood.

But willing to listen for offers that provide great return.

In interim, Wood is helping Rockets win. And both Sengun and Porter like playing with him and have come out in his support.

The social media speculation is exactly that, just musings from the great unwashed.

Historically bad is quite another level, never want to see 0-16 ever again.

And 8-3 is not trash, regular or otherwise.
