Simmons' contract is worth 145M or so, still. (What a mindboggling number.)

Kings aren't trading Fox, so their next 2 highest salary eaters are Hield and Barnes. Minny might part with Russell, since Simmons would be incoming, but I don't think SAC would want him since they already have Fox.

No idea how this would work.

 

I imagine it'd be
Simmons to Minny
Russell and Hield to Philly
Smaller contracts to balance and other compensation to Sac

Same thing would happen for us but with Gordon instead. I like it let's go. At least in the GMing department, we've always led the league in assists.

The Kings have no idea what they are even doing so it's hard to predict their intentions here. I bet it's Minny trying to get him, that makes the most sense. They are going to lose KAT soon unless they do something drastic and then they have to reset hard again.

I cannot say I am totally surprised but Benjamin's stock has plummeted.

 

Hey, whatever we do, if it makes us better I'm all for it. It'd be amazing if this somehow got us out of Wall's contract. I'd rather we played him, especially at the moment with everybody out, but if we're not doing that, then anything that gets us out from it and puts that cap space back on the court the better imho. That's way too much wasted money that could be better used either on more pieces, more rejects to rehab/gamble on or some good journeymen for the kids to learn from.
