Anyone else dubious about all these injuries, and whether it is really just another case of the organization tanking?

I mean Porter jr. had a bruise on his thigh.....those don't take 2-3 weeks to heal.

Green had a hammy - how long has it been now? I mean - he is practicing, why is he not playing?

Wood - left knee tendinitis - ok - but you wonder if he would be playing through this if we were playoff bound.

Gordon - Rest on a back to back - WTF is this ****? REST? I don't recall Hakeem resting....

Sure, they could all be legitimate, but it just feels like this is just the orgs way of slowing down the team from winning too many games.

KPJ, Green: Projected to be the franchise cornerstones of this team. Should wait until fully healed.

Wood, Gordon: Besides Green and Sengun, no one is untouchable on this team. As such, our most valuable trade assets are Wood and Gordon. Bringing them back unhealthy would risk further injury, devaluing them.

Yes, it’s a tanking technique, but equally this case might be a strategic reset for KPJ and Green, while also riding a new lineup during a sweet win streak ,,, until it crashes, from its sugar high.

but man, I would N O T fart around with a hammie impairing the lightning first-step of Green.

You can't showcase the Thesis Statement without sitting a bunch of players. Another 20/10 performance by Daniel tomorrow is what I'm predicting.

Probably a bit of both. Players play hurt all of the time depending on what's a stake. If we were 1 game away from avoiding being in the play-in and had 10 games left in the season I would imagine Wood and Co might be playing.

I worked with athletes/fitness for 10+ years and hamstrings are not worth forcing players to return early except under extreme conditions. We do not want Green to become Will Fuller. So, in Green's case I would imagine they want to make sure he comes back with 0 uncomfort on his cuts, drives, jumps.

Non injury related, Rockets did this last year too and it netted us the #2 pick so I bet they'll give us a dose of it this year and maybe next... whether some people like it or not.

    I completely agree about Green.

Also, if you're rebuilding, there is no reason to risk creating chronic problems or reinjury. Eric Gordon's trade value would drop dramatically if he were injured this year, so why no be extremely conservative? Christian Wood has proven he isn't able to play starter minutes yet, so why risk it? Hopefully he'll improve his durability over the next year or two so he can be ready for a playoff season in the future. I have no idea about KPJ... but he keeps limping in games, so that doesn't seem like BS.

I don't think it's more than just being extra cautious tbh. Makes no sense to rush anybody back, we have no pressure to win right now. I'd much rather they rest the youngsters especially than see our players have recurring injuries that never seem to fully go away.

If the Rockets were trying to tank they would be playing Green as many minutes as possible not sitting him for phantom injuries. His injury is real.

I mean Green was out before the win streak even started so why hold him out to lose more games?

We also visibly saw KPJ get hurt and then visibly saw him play worse as a result of that injury.

As for Wood...well...he's not very durable. At least he hasn't been in his time here.
