Oh, man. That is a blast from the past; I haven't seen that in years. Watching it makes me a little nostalgic for the early Morey days when we all thought he was a god. Those were simpler times...
On the Gordon trade, I don't think his value will get any higher as a Rocket than it is right now. He's been the best version of himself this year and he's healthy. I like that he's been a mentor for the time and the positive energy he's brought during games. They've been much better with him on the floor. But the longer you wait to trade him, the more you run the risk of him getting injured or his 3-point shooting coming back to earth and tanking his value. If you can get a first for Gordon, you do it.

It's very clear to me that nobody has ever offered to mentor you if you in anyway equate professional mentorship to therapy.

They're not going to deal any of their young core (Grimes, Quickley, Toppin, Barrett) nor are any vets going to be traded (Rose, Randle, Fournier) so there's not a lot left unless Stone is wanting to break Gordon's cap hit down to multiple, smaller parts...or I guess some sort of 1st rounder?
Knicks are a shithole organization so I hope some other team steps up. Knox and washed Kamba? Not that desperate. I’ll just hold onto Eric.
EG has played 30 min/gm and hit 44% of his threes, 48% from the field, can handle the ball well enough to get to the hoop w/o being a turnover machine....and plays stellar D. He has real value to contenders, but there are teams out there that he can start for. We all know his efficiency goes down while the chance of injury goes up then....That's their problem. Look at those #'s. Sure, he's 32, but we are getting more than a crappy first rounder. (Kemba& Knox are throwaways) Eric has stepped up and given his best in advance of the deadline.
I can promise you they want another pick. A lot of ammo to see how high they can move up this year. Heat pick, other picks, Bucks pick next season if traded together would have to be a top ten pick to go with where the rockets pick this draft. Add that to what is on the team now.
Looking at the Knicks' war chest it looks like they have picks to spare: 2022 1st from Charlotte (top 18 protected) 2023 1st from Dallas (top 10 protected) A whole bunch of 2nds Their own 1sts that they control
