I completely agree. I hope they BOTH become stars along with several other current Rockets. I think Wood is likely gone. Also, Gordon, who I think is great when healthy. The Wall situation doesn't make any sense to me.
I think they both have an edge which is really good. Especially Sengun who came from Europe, a place where NBA players tend to be a little softer. Both have more of an alpha mentality than Mobley does. For a team that had a 50% chance of drafting at 18 to have drafted 2 out of the 5 best prospects in this draft....I mean I don't think the Rockets could've drawn it up any better.
Mobley would be putting up much bigger numbers here....not playing beside Allen....on a bad team. In Cleveland, he's a VERY important part of a TEAM, that's winning...only three games out. Winners of five in a row, and nine of their last ten. Not an Alpha? C'mon! That's just you rationalizing....still in denial. We never had a 50% chance of picking at 18. Silver had us the whole time. It was our job to make good choices. With Sengun, we hit it out of the park. As far as Green goes, much remains to be seen...I see him becoming an All Star one day. Mobley, though....TRANSCENDENT player. Overall I like our position, and believe we did very well in the draft. That said, the Rockets could have done better. Alas, we move forward with Stone's plan...I like our chances over the long haul.
I loved Mobley leading up to the draft. I was pro-Mobley. I've watched a lot of his games since being drafted. I don't see a transcendent player. I see a very good player, but not a transcendent one. What part of his game is truly "transcendent?" If anything, Sengun seems far more likely to be a "transcendent" player, and we wouldn't have selected him had we picked Mobley.
I did not see this posted sorry if it has Looks like green is getting upset that the rockets are holding him back.. not that it's a bad thing. Shows he has a killer instinct which I like.. but I wish he wud keep his mouth shut (no pun intended) https://cavaliersnation.com/2021/12...essage-midgame-as-cavs-crush-his-rockets/amp/
I don't think this is a tweet suggesting the franchise is holding him back. I think he's just frustrated being sidelined by injury.
This is a huge reach to frame it this way...disagree 100%. He's just saying he wished he could be playing. That does not mean the rockets are holding him back, or he's upset about the way anything is being handled.
Kia Rookie Ladder: Evan Mobley holds No. 1 spot as Cavaliers continue to win | NBA.com Rookie of the year ... Green is no longer in the top 10 Sengun at #7.
He needs to get healthy, go down and play a little G League to get his confidence back, then come try his luck on a team with better spacing than what he had to work with before. Hopefully that will get him going.
I’m confused why people think he’s lost confidence. if anything he just needs to get back into basketball shape.
it sounds like he's so upset at the way his injury has been handled that the relationship is irreparable, and he's actually considering retiring from the game to spend more time with his hula hoop
I am starting to miss watching Green play. His speed and quickness is intriguing, and is a different look than what we currently have
You’re right, that’s a better way of saying it. Although I’m sure he knows he wasn’t exactly playing great before, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it was on his mind a little. Bottom line is some time down there would probably do him some good.
I mean, the last thing we saw was him with 11 points in the 1st quarter. I think he will be just fine. Similar to AEd last year, just let him play through this stuff.
Mobley has missed the last 5 games due to injury, and beat the Rockets by 40 points last night, so clearly they have a good team, with or without Mobley. That means Mobley doesn't have to carry the load, no? Much easier to play your game when other scorers are on the team. Not that anyone can predict the ceiling of either player but Green would have a better opportunity to flourish if he was wearing a Cavs uniform. Only time will tell if Green lives up to his potential. Mobley too. Dude looks legit.
