In these trades where if we're getting rid of guys like Gordon or others, if the salary matches, we should be taking back one less player so there's room for Garrison.
I know reports are coming out saying the Rockets are being patient with the trade market for Gordon, but I hope we trade him sooner rather than later. He's put out some solid tape and with his injury history I don't want to risk it.
Teams know his injury history… I don’t think it really changes things for teams when looking to acquire him. He’s always been available in the playoffs from what I can recall as well.
I don’t know what the fascination is with Turner and LaVert. They eat into the young guys playing time. And why would the Pacers flip Turner, LaVert, Saboner into 30 year old+, overpriced guards that belong on a playoff team. Flipping the players individually probably nets a better return too.
Instead of tanking for Banchero, Rockets should trade for Jalen Johnson instead. Hawks need defense. And just got burned by Gordo, Augustin and Nwaba. House & Theis also available 2 way players.
Could be on to something there, but that’s not enough compensation on our end to justify losing the two best players in the deal. Need a FRP or a player like Bouknight to be included also to balance it out.
i would welcome Jalen Johnson here. I would just think Hawks would prefer to move Reddish and his upcoming big salary demand vs. cost controlled player. If we're trying to acquire another forward, let's not forget Trey Murphy
I didn't want to say anything but I was thinking the same thing. I guess he's thinking somebody has to get screwed
Adding to other’s thoughts Wood, Theis, House, & Porter For Oubre, Plumlee, Bouknight, Jones play Wall, cut Plumlee, sign Mathews, build around Sengun, Bouknight & Jones are as good as anything in this year’s draft, IMO, AND fit the future. Run the offense though Sengun. future Green, Mathews, Oubre, Martin & Sengun => Christopher, Bouknight, Tate, Garuba & Jones
Jalen Johnson is exactly the kind of 4 that Rockets need next to Sengun. 6'9 bouncy switch defender that rebounds, rim protects, can shoot 3ball and be secondary playmaker.
The Rockets are about to miss out on the final piece to contention with the latest on Simmons for Westbrook rumors. Raphael needs to show them that he has the Stones.
ROCKETS-PHILLY TRADE: Houston recieve: Simmons and Harris Philly recieve: Wall, Gordon and House 2 FRP 1 SWAP Starting Lineup: Porter Green Harris Simmons Wood Bench: Sengun Martin Brooks Mathews Christopher
The goal of any trade the Rockets make before the deadline should be to get Sengun in the starting lineup. Nothing else matters.
