Simmons isn't coming here. He is like Westbrook. You have to surround him with 4 shooters and put the ball in his hands. You're picking Simmons over Porter or Green developing...
Houston In: Kemba Walker, Evan Fournier, 1 of their young players (Grimes, Toppin, Quickley) and 1 future NYK 1st Rounder (1-5 protected) New York In :Eric Gordon, DJ Augustine and Danual House Houston picks up a young player and a possible high lotto pick. Possibly flip Walker for a 2nd Rounder. New York bolsters their team for the playoff and gets out of Fournier's contract.

Don't know what the hell you're rambling about. The perennial All-Star and multiple time All-Defensive team in his prime is clearly the best player.

If you're going by past performance and bot current I'm not sure you're in this conversation. Simmons has been exposed and has a massive contract. If Simmons was better you wouldn't have to take him out of the game based on situations... Also, not a fan of your logic. Simmons was handed playing time in a week conference and has had more opportunities to do your randomly determined measurement of who is best.... Lou Dort probably has more trade value than Simmons on his deal...
Bro if you're really sitting there with a straight face stating that Christian Wood is a better player than Ben Simmons, then this conversation is over because of your lack of basketball knowledge.
This move OPENS the rotation for the youth movement while netting some rotation worthy players in the process. Plumlee’s contract is shorter than Theis’s too.
Wood is a better rim protector, rebounder, pick/roll, shooter, and scoring efficiency. Simmons is a better ball handler, on ball defender, and passer. Simmons limitations mean you, like with Westbrook, have to adjust the players around him to utilize him. Wood can pretty much plug and play anywhere. Simmons negatively impacts his team because they can pack the paint and limit his teammates opportunities unless they can all shoot to create lanes for Simmons. You can't post him up with a big in the paint because the help defense is too close and passing lanes not clear. The fact i have to explain this to you tells me I'm wasting my time with you... If you're just going to pick fights I'll just mute you and move on. Please show some maturity and apologize. I can't believe you're claiming someone who gets benched by his own team during the most important parts of games is better than Wood because of fan voting for an exhibition game...
Screw it. I'm just going to mute you and move on. I'm not here for trolls and insults. Please learn civility.
It's not just Simmons talent vs. Wood's talent. It's Simmons (skills + contract) vs Wood (skills + contract). Wood could probably be re-signed with less money than Simmon's current deal. Simmons also kills spacing, the offensive system will have to be re-designed. Is team building around JGreen / Al-P / (Maybe a Holmgren | Banchero) or a Simmons. Lastly imagine the shooting and spacing of this lineup?? KPJ JGreen Tate Simmons Sengun Rafael is trying to reshape HOU as a player friendly destination. Silas is also a nice-guy coach. You don't think if Simmons (and Klutch Sports) come here, they're going to take advantage of this? We already have a bad Klutch client contract taking up most of our cap space. Wall/Klutch also going back on their word; when both parties agreed that Wall was sitting out. I can't understate enough how Simmons not reporting / playing to his current team is a RED flag. It's not training camp, it's literally happening right now for 1/3 season. In a year where 76ers is supposed to be contending. This has "ME"-first all over. If the dude catches some feelings, he just don't show up for work. It'd be naive to think he wouldn't do this to his next team.
Why do people want a 6-7 PF from Charlotte? Morey is that you? Get me Patrick Williams/ Kuminga / Simmons or I'm holding my cards.
Prob because he's one of the better non all star floor spacing PFs available, and only 23 years old. Career 39%. Currently 43% on 4 attempts/game. I think he fits, but I'm hoping Holmgren, Banchero, or Jabari Smith end up on this team.
