There is no contradiction because no one thought the insurrection planners were coordinating with Fox News. If you don’t see the straw man I can’t help you.

nobody is claiming that fox news was involved in orchestrating the insurrection or cheering it on while it was happening.

but the texts do prove that the very people who continue to tell their audiences that trump had nothing to do with the insurrection were on that day begging for trump to tell them to stop.

fox also bears responsibility for spreading lies and disinformation about the election being stolen so while they might not have been involved in "orchestrating" insurrection, they certainly did plenty to stoke the flames that ended up causing january 6th.

I believe the prevailing opinion is similar to the fox news hosts that texted. Legacy was being ruined. Wanted it to stop.

Yes it was worse than the kavanaugh protests and I think the number of arrests reflect that. Was it worse than the riots of the 2020 summer? That is harder for me to agree with. The summer riots were more violent and costly.

The storming of jan 6 was not something that many on the right agreed with. At all.
