Its very ironic, given the absurdness of this thread, that's its highly possible with the exception of Watson, Mills will be the ONLY current Texan that will still be in the league in 5 years.
You know athletes get away with murder. Watson will pay them off to go away and some team will pick him up. The world works differently for athletes and rich men with power and money. They can abuse women, assault them, rape them, and pay their way out of serving a day in jail.
I like what they said in the sports radio; Mills job should be to make his name as part of the QB equation in 2022,,. All he needs to do is simply play like he has shown and be consistent, play as well as he can considering the lack of overall talent . No one is saying he’s the forever QB but it’s so hard to find a reliable consistent and quality QB so of course we want to make it work if possible. Would I prefer a running threat mobile QB? Definitely but at the end of the day he can be successful if he refines his overall passing skills ..,.And if he’s not good enough then you got the draft after next
I do not want a mobile running QB I want a check down Charlie…I wanted Mac Jones I want a game manager those guys just win period. The running QBs like Lamar and murray and Allen don’t win and if they do win they don’t win for long and once the inevitable leg/knee/ankle injuries happen they are done. Give me check down Charlie who makes no mistakes and takes what the defense gives them.
Mills is mobile enough to be a new age QB. He moves really well to his right, he’s just not going to try to scramble as a first, second or third option. I wouldn’t mind more mobility, but I prefer a QB like Wilson and Rodgers (younger). Run when it’s there and not force it like Lamar.
Kid had the good opening drive - play action caught SEA off-guard and he was able to find several wide open guys moving the ball downfield. When SEA clamped up Mills reverted back to the dink and dunk stuff and that wont get it done in the NFL with such a horrible defense backing him up ... especially when you dont capitalize for TDs in the red zone and even worse inside the 5. At least there was SOME progress there - seems like holding the clipboard for a few weeks did him some good and everything slowed down for him. Still dont see a franchise QB when he takes snaps. Doesnt matter. Team will lose at least one more year and Mills seems like the economical answer to play the position until a better answer presents itself.

Kap should not be in the same sentence as those others. Kap is exactly what you don’t need as a QB. Pass first, run second. Not the other way around.
