There's a lot of truth to what you say. I think I'm coming from it that Morey realizes he's not getting Lillard or Beal and to get two quality players over 1 star while adding cap flexibility could be the better move. Maybe Rockets and Pacers both chip in picks... I just see Simmons as a guy who isn't making progress where he should and he's never going to be a superstar because of it... teams don't like to pay those players 30 million and the sixers already do that with Harris....

We have to be realistic about a return for EG. He's turning 33 in two weeks, is owed 18M this year and 19 next year. He has an injury history that has sidelined him often throughout his career. When healthy, he's awesome. He can hit big shots and is an instant bucket. His best fit is with a veteran team in need of a scorer to shore up postseason prospects. Problem is not many of those teams have 18M to trade us. And the ones that do will have to trade us players whose contracts run longer than EG or trade multiple pieces. I think the posted Clippers deal a few pages back for Bledsoe isn't a bad one. And I just don't see us getting a FRP for him. I really, really hope we do. But every seller in this market is rebuilding, and all of those teams will be giving away players looking for FRPs.

HOU in: Simmons, Bledsoe, Kennard, And Ibaka (Rockets buyout Bledsoe and Ibaka) PHI in: Gordon, Theis, House, 2022 Miami frp, Bucks 2023 frp LAC in: Wall 2 hang ups here… Is Gordon the best player that Philly can get? Clippers probably want a frp along with Wall. oh and no way do I give up wood in this trade. I’d rather get 2-3 low first round picks for him. I believe Eric Gordon's deal is voidable in the final year unless he wins a championship. Basically it's a team option... That's better than expiring because you are guaranteed to keep him at that price on a 1 year deal if you want him...
