To Sixers Eric Gordon Caris LaVert Danuel House To Pacers Ben Simmons Daniel Theis To Rockets Myles Turner Rockets get to try Turner/Wood combo without long term commitment. They get younger and shed salary. Pacers ship Lavert and Turner for Simmons and have Theis for front court depth to replace Turner. Sixers get 2 quality rotation pieces that can create their own shot plus House who is a decent 2 way player.. maybe they want a late pick thrown in...
So again why would they not take that package for themselves and get the best scorer in the proposal in Maxey along with the best player in Simmons? Here's a hint, they would. This proposal heavily favors us. Brooklyn and Philly would cut us out so fast your head would spin.
Not a bad move for us. We eat salary for a 1st rd pick while off loading Gordon, House, and our negative asset in Theis. This will also free up more development minutes for the young guys. Sengun can learn from Love’s offensive game. Cavs have a real shot to get out of the 1st rd of playoffs and can add a good amount of firepower to their bench.
Sixers still thinking they are getting a Harden type haul. It will take this plus at least 3 FRP and possibly some swaps. I think eventually they will get at least 2 FRP and a couple of swaps from a desperate team like the Kings or Portland.
I could be mistaken but i believe the blazers are pick poor... kings make little sense to me unless they are moving multiple guards and then it's an overpay. Halliburton and Fox are better than Simmons and Mitchell might be someday... Hield and picks is fair but Simmons loses value as not the primary ball handler. My scenario is likely philly settling at the deadline to get something to help because i still doubt Simmons gets them any high picks... maybe some with top 10 protections... I would be curious if Turner and Wood can coexist. They both space the floor well but Turner is an elite rim protecter while Wood is just solid... If not, Turner is an expiring deal next year and easy to move... or Wood for that matter. It gives them options to see who fits with Senguin....
https://www.theringer.com/nba/2021/12/13/22831783/nba-trade-deadline-utah-jazz-boston-celtics Wall, Wood, 2023 1st via Milwaukee for Brown and Horford. Of course being a Jaylen Brown stan I'd add another 1st if needed. Boston gets a better distribution of talent in their starting lineup by swapping Brown for Wood and they actually get a point guard that they can use in lieu of Smart. We offset the deal by not only taking on Horford's contract but also sending them a 1st (or two). Brown comes here to be our starting SF (where he plays the best) and Horford and Sengun can start together for the remainder of the season in the front court. Crazy? Probably. Improbable? Highly likely.

Not sure if either fit our timeline. It's funny how quick we are to trade our best players while coveting players on other teams that have underperformed.
Wood, EG, Tate for Bridges, Rozier, Oubre at the trade deadline. Happy to add picks if needed. HOU: We clear the starting C spot for Sengun and keep Theis as his back-up. We tank hard rest of season to secure that top-3 pick frontline partner to Sengun (Chet, Banchero etc). Bridges is a great piece for the long-term and we should match any offers in RFA. Rozier is a better shooter and playmaker than KPJ and he will improve our spacing. Oubre is a great role player that can be kept or traded for value. 2023 Starters: Rozier, Green, Bridges, Sengun, Chet Bench: KPJ as PG, Armoni / Christopher / Mathews as scorers/shooters, Oubre / KMJ as glue guys, Garuba and Theis as defensive bigs. CHA: Wood addresses their biggest weakness at C. Gordon’s defense makes him a better partner next to Ball. They still keep a solid forward rotation with Hayward, PJ, Tate, Martin. The move allows PJ to start next to a stretch C. They get longer and better defensively. Starters: Ball, EG, Hayward, PJ, Wood
it's wild people think you're getting someone like bridges or brown for freaking christian wood, gotta be more realistic
I don't think that's enough for Philly, and I don't think the Rockets are giving up enough in that trade. I do, however, think a Simmons trade could make EG to Philly possible, if they get some deadweight salary they can relay to Houston. I don't know what star Daryl would be able to get, but if he can't extract one, he's likely to seek a couple win-now players and a package of picks he can flip for exactly what he wants. Picks are his currency.
