I agree but if Lonzo can get away with it, Jalen can. His shot looks better than Lonzo's. I thought we had shooting coaches??? It takes a while to change your shot after you been doing it that way so long but part of being a great shooter is learning how to shoot multiple way with both hands. I've watched Kobe play an entire game with his left hand.
correct. Allen is the adv stats leader on CLE; and I mean ALL OF THEM, vs the whole team, across the board, per basketball-reference’s tracking. (As example, Allen is a ridiculous 132/101 O/Drtg to Mobley’s 109/102.) https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CLE/2022.html In a graphic, TPA shows the great divide and this isn’t just about who leads CLE in adv stats, it’s the fact that it is their Center. That says a lot about how much easier it makes it for Mobley to sneak in and get those assisted bunnies at the rim, bc defenses are first and foremost trying to stop Allen from getting them.
I appreciate that the players were forming the shape of a fruit, they want to stay close to one another.
Rocket's draft history for #1 and #2. #1's 1968 - Elvin Hayes 1976 - John Lucas (from Atlanta) 1983 - Ralph Sampson 1984 - Hakeem Olajuwon 2002 - Yao Ming #2's 1970 - Rudy Tomjanovich -------------------------------------- 2021 - Jalen Green Arguably the Org has not bust in their #1 and #2 pick. Most of the guys on that list are in the Basketball Hall of Fame. I'm sure Stone don't want be the first Rockets GM in org history to bust on a high pick. Stone has done a decent job on his other picks and trades so far. The hope is Green pan out.
Isnt that the whole point of shooting pocket and repeatable shot? Curry does it too, after a catch always puts ball in the same spot first then starts the motion. Maybe JG shooting pocket could be elsewhere but thats fundaments of repeatable shot
It's funny, we've had quite a few more #1 and #2s playing for us... #1 D. Howard, J.Wall, Bennett #2 Stevie, Camby, Beasley, Hasheem, Dipo, T.Chandler, Stro Swift Did I miss any? (After I added some in Edit)
As much as I hate this selection at the 2nd spot, this year should be a test run. Any contribution is just gravy. Oh and undrafted players rule the day and are hungrier, well, who would have thought how much they make in salary.
This sounds exactly like how folks we’re we’re prematurely writing off Anthony Taylor last year. A year later now look at him, one of the most improved you players. I don’t understand the entitlement here you guys have but we haven’t won anything and have had a draft prospect like Green since maybe Francis. he’s only freaking 19…
Number 2 picks should not be this far away from being an Actual NBA starter. I mean his D sucks, his offense is too predictable and inconsistent, he seems happy to be here, more than a dawg (This could be his young age and his lack of confidence). Just overall he does not have the skillset that I expected - there is literally NOTHING he is elite or good at, other than a good athlete, and we have seen guys that have relied on that come and go in the NBA with varying degrees of success. When players are this far away, they should be challenged to get better, they should not be GIFTED playing time if there are better options on the team - they need to WORK HARD to beat out others....... Green is not ready, in all honesty the team is worse with him on the floor primarily because his defense is just putrid. I SOOOO want him to succeed but I want him to overcome some competition to get there..... Accountability 101 Remember pressure turns coal into diamonds. DD
