    Used the Vucevic deal in the article as a point of comparison. I’m not suggesting Houston should just give this dude away. He’s an awesome screen and dive center who can shoot 3s on a dirt cheap contract. That’s valuable and they should seek proper condensation.

    Nope, not when his bird rights are attached to a trade, teams that can trade for him can offer more than anyone doing an UFA.

    This is the way it has been for more than 20 years.

    While I'm in the rebuilding camp, if Wood is here for the full season then that opens you up to trades for players like Ayton, Jalen Brown, Zion, or whatever star/superstar shakes out. Some teams are going to want retool around their current core/stars instead of rebuild.

    I think trading him by this midseason deadline maximizes the return for rebuilding.

    cf whined to high even with minor injuries of wood....lolololol jalen brown is non stop injured with serious stuff and dont even start me on zion... hes a career ending injury waiting to happen...and ayton is fools gold.... he s not even an allstar and cant even shoot.... (nor pass) which is a big no for a modern center

    So you want to trade Wood for a player who was drafted 2 yrs ago, who has been hurt the whole time, a rookie who has not played and a #1 pick. Then you say our squad is ways away, we have nothing but time......ARE YOU REALLY LISTENING TO YOURSELF?

    2 and playing theis alongside ayton we would surely get that top pick

    3 ailen brown and zion are heavily injury prone players its not childlish ITS MATURE THINKING.... you are being chidlish trying to trade a proven commodity for troubling players

    even if healthy the league is full of wings like jalen brown that can score some and defend....

    christian wood like players are only like 5 in the league...ITS A RARE COMMODITY
