You see Sengun choking that many times? Sengun is built different...

 

KPJ's another one of those guys who I'm not really sure about. He does some exciting stuff, and he was improving before getting hurt. But if he can't pull it together consistently as a PG, and there are indications he might not be able to, then better to make a break than continuing with him as a core member of the rebuild.

 

If Silas can give Sengun 25 minutes a game he will average 16 points a game, 7 rebounds and 6 assists...............PLAY THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Decent game considering 2nd nite of b2b.

Looks like to me if we are tanking playing the veterans is the way to go. We win last night if Jaygup stays in and Augustine sits.

 

Is Silas worse than MDA with starting line-ups, forcing this Wood-Theis line-up that does not work! Does he not see that....I don't care about losing, but this coach's refusal to see the obvious is shocking. Unless it's a tactic to keep losing, whispered in the ear by our baldheaded GM.

 

Godammit! Can we play all our games at Toyota center? This road trip is gonna be bumpy af.

 

The other side of that is if Sengun gets 25 minutes, he'll foul out in 18. He'll also get beat and scored on repeatedly like Giannis did on him

 

Sengun won’t turn 20 until July.

JC just had his 20th bday, though.

 

He played 23 last night and had 4 fouls. He will be foul prone for a while yes, but with his intelligence and a little more respect from the refs, he will be able to play 30+ mins with no problem. Besides if he gets 20 mins and fouls out it is still better than playing 16 mins and riding the pine.

I watched the game with Griz' commentators last night (that was the availability in the UK). They were very joyful at the beginning of the first quarter and at the end of second. Their confidence faded during the 3rd and 4th(except the last one and half minutes).

If I had a chance to change only one action in the whole game, I would do when the score was 77-84 and Rockets was attacking. If Rockets made a 3 instead of travelling the ball, the result might be different. Turnover for Rockets, basket for Memphis and it was over.

Memphis commentator impressed about 3 things from Rockets side:
-Never give-up mentality
-Alperen Sengun
-Armoni Brooks (if he made the 3 when it was 77-84).

Alp had another good game, very proud of him, he is already my MVP but but I am little bit confused about his rebounding. Contrary to people's suggestion of 3pt shooting training I would suggest him to focus little bit more on rebounding. I don't think it will be difficult for him to get some personal training from let's say Omer F. Asik, Mehmet Okur or the greatest of rebounders Mirsad Turkcan.

It is a pity Silas didn't finish the game with Alp and also he did not collect 10+rebounds.

 

Silas. I so badly want him to succeed, and I was so happy during the winning streak, but going back to the Wood Theis lineup last night was just soul crushing. I just. I mean. ****! What in the hell was the dude thinking?! He continues to force the idea, but it is not ever going to work. Why can’t he see it? It’s so damn frustrating.
