Throw it down, big man. Sometimes he goes for the finesse lay up with no love from the zebras. You have to take the bad with the good.
To me, whether or not Wood is traded is dependent on whether him and Sengun can start together long term. If he can start and play next to Sengun then I think he is fine...They wouldn't even need to play exclusively with one another. When one sits then you can stagger them a bit. If they can play together then and Wood will re-sign for a good deal then you are pretty much set at big man for a few years. On the flip side...If they cannot play together then it kinda becomes a Jokic/Nurkic situation and Sengun is who I'd roll with because Sengun needs to be a starter by at minimum the start of next season and if Wood is going to be the reason he isn't on the court more then Wood has to go. Pretty simple.
We just came off a 7 game win streak, where Wood had a 20 pt 20 reb game during that span. We lost to the NBA champs against an all time great player who had 41pts 17rbs on 15-19 shooting. Every player has things to work on including Giannis, I really wouldn't complain after a streak and game like this but to each thier own.
Smh y'all are like piranhas. Chill, the dude actually had an ok game, could've been better. Finished with 21p-13reb on 47%FG Things to improve? Sure, but still young, still very talented, and still learning the game.
fire silas because both sengun and wood need a better coach... 1 there are lot of coaches of silas caliber... 2 wood is a rare player a diamond that needs some cutting and polishing... 3 you do the math
At one point he let Giannis have an open layup and the replay showed him smiling as he gathered the ball to inbound.
I think WOOD likes the idea of SENGUN being the banger down low Maybe even defending the paint/big man as well He may suffer from A.D. Disease A D could be sssoooo much better if he was aggressive Rocket River
When he finally passes it after bringing it up, he pulls the ball carrying arm right back, then very slowly extends it towards the passing target. Very soft pass, very telegraphed. GIVE IT FASTER MAN
with a good, accountability based coach, he would have never ever done it again after the first time he did
I think he's doing a better job of finishing this year. But man the guy cant even finish through a plastic straw if his life dependent on it.
He has never been it. Never will. Selfish play at the end of the game holding the ball in iso on the wing instead of moving the ball allowing other team mates to get involved.
I'm on the "Trade Wood" bus if the right offer comes along, but this thread is knee-jerk even by CF standards. Most of you were slobbering his knob are going on about how he's untouchable and now he's soft.
I guess Silas wants to push, but once he has taken a dribble to clear the defensive key he needs to be told to give it up ASAP to a close man. The long pass is usually dreadful too... Credit to Silas for getting these guys to perform lately. But some things remain frustrating!
