He’s been the goto player in college…He also goes long periods without shooting / touching the ball in Rockets offense.

U would love for him to bump up over 20pts a game

He just needs to mix in more drives with his 3pt shooting

No Larry Bird in the poll? Disappointed. If he consistently plays like this it would be absolutely awesome.

Agreed for the most part except for I’ve never liked the “this guy isn’t a starter on a championship team” stuff. That’s completely dependent on what the rest of said roster looks like.

Yes, that is a good comp too, though Wes I think was a better defender and a weaker shooter.

    He's probably at his ceiling

The question is can he maintain his current level of play, and the answer to that in all likeliness is no, but here's to hoping otherwise.

And in his prime he was a better scorer. But the question is what Mathews ceiling is. I think it entirely possible that Gary Bird could reach the level of a prime Wes Matthews with a better three ball. And while that may not be a superstar, that is one hell of a basketball player.

He’s probably a similar athlete to Middleton.

Edit-Similar mobility, Mathews is a better leaper

I hadn't looked at Herro's stats until now. What is interesting are his advanced stats are terrible and consistently terrible. Granted win shares per 48 isn't a perfect stat but Herro's ws/48 is really bad.
