House and Theis (into a TPE) for Aaron Nesmith Eric Gordon for Taurean Prince (expiring) and Jaden McDaniels waive Taurean or find another 2 for 1 somewhere else involving Prince and DJ. sign Garry Legend to a big league deal. KPJ / Christopher Green / Nesmith / Brooks Mathews / KJ Martin Tate / Jalen McDaniels Wood / Sengun / Garuba I hate to say it but that's a very good young exciting team.
Teams restructure Us In: Ingrum, Bouknight, & Plumlee Out: Wood, Gordon, Green & Porter Start to build around Sengun. Move Green for Bouknight a more fundamental player to grow with the core. Wood and Sengun don’t seem to fit together and Ingrum style of play seems like a fit with Sengun’s. Play Wall till his contract is over. Charlotte In: Wood & Porter Out: Plumlee, Bouknight, & Jones They get their big & 6th man by giving up last year’s draft that is not seeing any playing time anyway. Win now move. N.O. In: Gordon, Green & Jones Out: Ingrum Bring back hometown hero & build with 2 fresh lottery talents plus a FRP. Green & Zion should fit together —> Beauty and the Beast.
i don't think we're giving up on the number two pick jalen green just yet. He's a long term investment. he needs to get bigger, stronger. need his handles to improve.
Just looking at the NOP(e) part of this trade.... Eric Gordon... Flash.... a hometown hero... in New Orleans?? Methinks you have confused Indianapolis with N'Awluns...
21:55 CV: Want me to make you lose your mind? KO’C: Sure. CV: So I thought about a possibility if they wanted to move Russ… KO’C: Send him back to Houston. CV: If they got traded for each other again, that would be the funniest thing ever. It’s the only trade partner, right? KO’C: Send him back to Houston, that’s funny. CV: And let him get the buyout. KO’C: Then where does Russ go after he gets bought out? CV: Clippers! KO’C: That’d be a fun path. CV: When you said there’s absolutely no way you can trade him, I thought there is one guy. KO’C: There is one. Other than that, there really isn’t one. Knicks maybe? Also don’t really have the salaries to make a deal easily. I think Houston may be the one. It’d be abso-freakin-lutely hilarious. CV: Is Wall a Klutch guy? KO’C: Yeah he is. [laughter] KO’C: It’s pretty good. … It’s an idea. The only idea that works. What other team will trade for Westbrook?
How much lux tax do you expect Cs to pay? De facto 30 mil for Theis with Horford/Wms/Freedom in place?
We (I) don’t want Ben Simmons. Not for James Harden. Not for John Wall. Not for picks. It’ll never happen but hell give me cray-cray Kyrie. A 7-game win streak and everyone loses their mind. “Hey, maybe we speed up our timeline?!” “Hey, maybe we make a push for the play-in?!” “Hey, maybe we can get Ben Simmons?!” “Hey, maybe Wood is better than AD?!” “Hey, pay Wood the max/build around Wood?!”
December 15, mark that date down. POR: Wall, Maxey, House, Garuba + 76ers 2022 FRP + Bucks 2022 FRP + Nets 2023 FRP + 76ers 2024 SRP PHI: Dame, RoCo HOU: Simmons, DGreen, Korkmaz Scoot/Jaygup/DJ Gordo/Thrilla/Snipa Mathews/DGreen Simmons/Tate/Korkmaz Wood/Sengun/Theis 76ers & Rockets load up on talent. Blazers start their rebuild with 2 young key pieces, former All Star & picks.
EGo + House for Dragic + future 1st (lotto-protected) - Dragic is an expiring contract, solid vet guard that shouldn't get in the way of development. Plus another pick to have.
Mavericks are looking desperate to keep the season on the table and they have very few draft assets. That being said, I like Gordon and House to the Mavericks for the 2025 first round pick. Theis as a trade chip, with the speed of Sengun’s development, is also enTheising.
Jalen Green+Daniel Theis+Danuel House for Damian Lillard. Go for it like the IT Celtics or CP3 Suns. Pick up an elite veteran star with good character to lead our young roster to playoff experience. Sengun looks like the real #2 pick, and the Rockets have the Nets picks in their back pocket. Build a winning culture, good Rockets teams don't have to tank to acquire more stars. Houston is an attractive city for players, certainly more attractive than what Dame has been burdened with in Portland. Green is a ditzy loser and will never be a top two player on a championship team. Even if Green does hit his all-star reserve ceiling, it won't be for another 3+ years and he's owed $10+mil per year in the meantime. Lillard should retain value as a star asset for at least 3 more seasons. Lillard isn't the only solution out there, but trading the overhyped teenager Jalen Green for a prime top 25 player is the best move.
Wood and House to Chicago for Patrick Williams and Coby White. This deal presupposes that Chicago is ready to aggressively pursue a deep run before Lavigne hits free agency. White came back from injury just in time to hit COVID protocols and Williams is out for the season with a wrist injury. This is definitely a deal with an eye towards the future. KPJ/White Green/Christopher Tate/Martin Williams/2022 Draft Pick Sengun/Garuba Sprinkle in Mathews, Brooks and more shooting with draft picks and the rebuild is done. With improvement from Green I think this team could eye a playoff spot next season.
