    Gotta dispute that one ....

Lebron has moved around the league as a FA. Cleveland , Mia , Cle , LA

Durant has gone from OKC to GSW to BKN

    Kawhi went to LAC

Jimmy Buckets from Philly to Miami via FA.

    Kyrie from Boston to BKN

They hit the market , they just have their minds made up before the process starts .... Either you are a destination city or not.

No Way No How is CWood among the 25 best players in the NBA. He might not be in the top 50.

Just stop it , 20/10 for a bad team doesn't make one an MVP candidate.

Is there a comparison player who went from being 20/10 on a bad team and then collapsing after moving to a good team?

This board cracks me up. "He's not a top 25 player because he's not an MVP candidate!" Do y'all listen to yourselves?

A consistent 20/10 center with a high TS% and 3 pt is a top 25 guy period. And don't give me the "he's on a bad team" crap -- if anything, Wood should be taking more shots. Wood averages 13 shots a game. Jokic, Embiid, and KAT all average 17. Wood's averaged a little closer to that 17 shots per game average the last six, and, surprise surprise, he's averaging 24 and 14. This, alone, shows that the whole "he's on a bad team" argument is bogus.

I like Sengun but he is not better than Wood. He might be at some point, but right now it is not even close.
It doesn't matter anyways because Tim McMahon just said that the Rockets aren't looking to trade Wood.

Obviously the point is that the Theis-Wood combo isn't effective and screwed up Wood's game. The last six games are far more indicative of how Wood could produce as the 5 with better shooters.

Judging by NCAA coaches....this is about to happen in college athletics as well.

    Who are you building around?

If Green, then doesn't he need shooters around him?

Tate, Mathews and Wood are all of similar ages and would be excellent core for a true franchise player.

If not Green, then WHO is this franchise player you keep talking about?

And enough with the mystery boxes, NAME NAMES.

You are not sure because you really don't know squat.

    No one does.

But it fits your narrative to act like you know.

I'll bite: you add Donovan Mitchell to that and it's a championship team. Same age group.

What are your NAMES? All you did was list off our current players….

Are you saying we have the players needed to start competing?

It’s like the Sixers…. Why wouldn’t they want our best current players?

I don’t see the Jazz willingly to rebuild at this juncture.

    LOL

I'm not the one advocating to trade current best player just to trade him.

    That's on you.

Rockets have invested in 4 first rounders, how about we develop these guys before adding more players that CANNOT get minutes???

    Its possible that’s true.

Also truths. It’s only 6 games. Against pretty bad competition. We have to see it for longer and against the leagues better/best competition.

No player has/should ever been crowned anything based off that sort of small sample.

Most top 25ish guys don’t really need ideal scenarios to perform like top 25 guys. Which it seems Wood needs. And if we’re being honest that’s only talking about one side of the game. His defense isn’t awful, but for a big man it’s not at the level of impact you generally need for a guy to be considered top 25 in the league.

He’s a great complimentary piece. I’m not saying trading him is a priority. But there are MANY indicators, over a larger sample, that say he is not a top 25 guy. Maybe not even top 50.

And that level of player is nothing to sneeze at as your 3rd guy. But we need a for sure 1st guy 1st. That is the #1 priority.

I guess I’m just supposed to know what players we get in the draft?

I’ve already mentioned names elsewhere if we were to compete for 2022; Ayton, Bridges(es), Zion, Jalen Brown, etc.
