Another example of a team that refuses to rebuild/tank. Trying their best to get into playoffs just to get eliminated

Indy has some nice players. They just don't have an alpha to build around. If they want to blow it up, there will be some contenders who are interested in their pieces.

the sad reality of the NBA. They might have good players, even an allstar, but without a super star you just tread water forever until you blow it up.

I think it's just the nature of the game of basketball. One player makes all the difference. The most difficult thing in team building in the NBA is to find and get that one player. You do that either by draft (where you need a LOT of luck) or by grabbing one when he leaves his original team. You can do the latter only if you are located in a big attractive market or if you already have one of those guys.

The second most difficult thing is to build around that one player to win quick enough so that he won't lose patience and leave.

This team is what we are going to b if we keep wanting to win to get into the playoffs for "playoff experience" if we don't have that one generational talent.
Can't stress this enough, this pacer team been avoiding tanking/rebuilding for years

U should win all cost like the pacers. U see any championship banner?

Winning culture, years of playoff experience. Pacer got it all but look where their anti tank ways/ try their best got them? Yea I thought so.

It's folks like u that loves mediocrity

    nowhere...
you may even have a superstar and still go nowhere

oth 2014(or it was 13 i forgot) spurs didnt have any allstars and schooled lebron
all stars are fools gold...you need a good basketball team to win it all

You don't know if you have a generational talent among your rookies, until you try to win with them.

I can agree with that statement. But rn all I see is a coach playing his veterans to have a meaningless win streak while pushing us out of contention for talent via draft.
