Going for it on your own end up 21-6 by Baylor has to be one of the dumbest coaching decisions I've ever seen. You had total control of the game and your defense hadn't let OSU move down the field. What's the benefit there?
Lol Bama was less deserving than OkSt bc Auburn played them tough... The freezing cold takes on here.
I am 48 years old and have been waiting for 41 damn years to see my Georgia Bulldogs win a National Championship and then I had to endure that holy steaming pile of garbage that I saw from Georgia’s defense. I literally feel like throwing up for an entire week. All the other times, Alabama was the better team but Georgia outplayed them in both 2017 and 2018 yet Alabama was on top both times on the scoreboard. Georgia has been the better team all season while Alabama inexcusably lost to ATM and struggled to beat teams like LSU, Florida, Arkansas, and Auburn - teams that Georgia (with the exception of LSU who they didn’t play) beat with ease. But I was worried that Bryce Young would go off and he did. I was also worried that if the game became high scoring that Stetson Bennett would not be able to keep up and I was right about that. I am just tired of seeing this same old story happening again and again to my favorite team. I guess as long as Nick Saban is coaching Alabama, Georgia will never win. I decided to deactivate my Facebook account because I don’t want to have to even read all these obnoxious posts from Alabama fans. I have to hope that Georgia gets another shot and figure out some way to slay this dragon. Assuming Michigan beats Iowa, I think you will see the final 4 to be Alabama at 1, Michigan at 2, Georgia at 3, and Cincinnati at 4. If Georgia can beat Michigan and play Alabama in the NC game, they are going to have to do obviously some things differently: 1) They are going to have to put as much pressure as possible on Bryce Young - it wasn’t until the 2nd half that they actually decided to do that and Alabama didn’t do much offensively- don’t wait Georgia until you are losing by 2 touchdowns to do that. 2) Georgia has to dictate the tempo and pace for this game- when the game turned into a shootout, that played right into Alabama’s hands. Georgia’s formula for success is to wear teams down with their running game and offensive line but when they got behind, they had to abandon their running game. 3) I imagine that Kirby Smart will continue to start Stetson Bennett at QB especially if they make it to the NC game but he really needs to go to JT Daniels if they get behind- Saban did it in 2017 NC game with Tua coming on for Hurts. Stetson is a great story but he isn’t capable of winning a NC - yes the defense is to blame for this but they did their job in the 3rd quarter and Stetson threw an interception and turned it over on downs. After another stop by the Georgia defense, Stetson threw a pick six that essentially ended the game for Georgia. Georgia can win against Alabama but they have to be smarter and play smarter. I would think today was a real eye opener for them. Sorry for the long post but I am hurting in a way that I haven’t hurt since the last time my Dawgs let me down against Bama.
To me Alabama has looked wobbly all season. Lost to a mediocre A&M team, almost lost to LSU, Auburn, etc. Then, they roll over Georgia like they are a doormat and they are the "old" Alabama. I was shocked.
Don't worry about it. You're in the playoffs anyway. Take it from an LSU fan. It's better to let Bama get the first one, and go for the rematch.
